This restaurant, much like the Stevie’s music their live band played, makes you happy and joyful here.
Especially for folks like me, come for decent food and hanging without practicing the French pronunciation of the wines. Their front yard is open for free parking.
Yet, if you are looking for some Miles David’s Jazz $$$$$ steakhouses where certain generation needs to turn on the flashlight to see the menu, it may not a good fit.
The steaks were cooked perfectly; ordered medium rare.
The sides & drinks were average but didn’t match the quality of the steaks. 5 star meat, 3 star sides.
The baked potato was standard. Spicy broccoli with chilli flakes was not hot.
The rolls are over salted but looked fluffy and steamy so it was odd.
I had a blood orange margarita.
There was live Jazz on a Friday night. Lighting and crowd created a great mood. I also enjoyed the deep rounded booths.
The historical status of the building and solid food and service has obviously worked.
I will be back.
I think I went in, expecting a little more "fancy", which it isn't. It is however fantastic food, that is enjoyed by locals, which shows their consistency of food quality. A bit of a confused theme somewhere between cowboy, and lobster, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Stockyard, just wasn't the high end steakhouse we were expecting.
What an amazing meal we had. The place was slammed and everything was cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend.
Everything on the menu at Stockyard is fantastic however one thing stands above all. They serve the best prime rib ever! Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, every bite is a delight. The expertly cooked meat is a carnivore's dream come true. From the first slice to the last, it's a dining experience that's hard to forget. A must-visit for any steak enthusiast.
I ordered the medium rare bone in ribeye with a baked potato on the side. The steak couldn't have been any better, just utterly delicious. The service was fantastic and the ambience was lively.
This place was amazing! Despite being crazy busy, full to capacity, the staff was friendly and helpful. Food was served quickly, cooked to perfection! Had crab cake and Philly steak rolls, excellent! Filet burger was well received as well as the hamburger. Both cooked as ordered. Will return, reservations recommended.
Haven't been here in years. Under new ownership now but the interior looks and feel the same. They had a live band when we were there. Went on a Thurs evening and it was packed. I would suggest making reservations.
For appetizers, we got calamari (decent size order, enough for 3 of us), wedge salad (they were nice to split into 3 of us) and East Coast oysters (these were very disappointing, not that fresh and very small). All the apps came out very fast but took very long before our entrées came out
We got full rack ribs, bone in rib eye (decent size cut but the quality and taste were lacking and it was chewy), and prime rib (not the best quality and mostly fat).
Our server was great, friendly and attentive.
Going to try the seafood next time I come.
Great place. Good solid food both steak and seafood. Service is excellent. Had the filet and my wife had the salmon. Food and drinks were awesome. This place is a legend and continues to be great.
A phenomenal combination of local feel with high end flare. Been going here for decades and have been enjoying their upgrades the whole time. A nice place with nice food and cocktails. Wine list is lacking a touch but their martinis are absolutely on point. And don't forget to ask your server about their whiskey selection.
