Came here with a large group and was easily accommodated.
Staff was very attentive and the food was impeccable.
A group of 6 with 3 courses and drinks was $400 but was worth the experience.
The salmon was probably the best grilled fillet I’ve ever had.
This French brunch restaurant is beautiful. There is a bar, and the interior design is lovely. The service was good and the food came out delicious. For drinks, we got the lavender and elderflower spritz and bellini. I highly recommend the bellini lavender and elderflower spritz. It is very refreshing and went well with brunch. For food, we got avocado tartine, omelet alsacienne, and aquatine burger. The food was all very good. Anyone ordering the omelette comes with sides. I requested truffle fries, and they added a side of toast. The ingredients used to feel really good quality and food feel very healthy. The only complaint, if any of the truffle fries, was good, but it is the mayo truffle sauce.
Aquitaine is best described as a traditional French restaurant where the atmosphere and the food both reflect that. The food was well presented and decently balanced, however the portion sizes seemed a bit small for the price for some of the plates at the table. I had the duck cavatelli. The flavor was good. But the pasta didn't seem fresh, which would be expected at that price point. The cocktails, however, are far from traditional and I'd highly recommend them.
Four stars for ambience.
The brunch food was pretty average - the french onion soup was not super great, but the mussels were fresh and tasty.
This was a fantastic dinner. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food was delicious and our service was amazing! Our waiter gave us complimentary champagne and a cocktail due to the food delay, which was such a nice touch. The escargot is really great and my steak was cooked perfectly. We highly recommend going here. We will be returning!
Beautiful place loved the red booths it was nice and modern with classy vibes. The waitress was really friendly and didn’t leave our glasses empty and made sure we were happy.
She confirmed the choices we made were great me and my partner had duck a myrtilles was incredible and I had escargot for first time it was great and the dipping sauce. Duck was well cooked and juicy! She had us sold on the bread pudding made in house with the vanilla ice cream.
Food was spectacular will be back. Man I Love Aquitaine. And the waitress addressed us by our last names before we left. Great place really made me and my boyfriends week. 5 stars
I love this restaurant! The atmosphere is so “chic” and elegant. You really feel like you are in a nice bistro in Paris. Food is amazing and authentic! Do not forget to try the Moules and frites! Really tasty! Oh and save some space for dessert because you are gonna need it! I would recommend the Tarte Tatin. Totally recommended!
You’re greeted and treated warmly throughout the dining experience here. The mussels, salade boûcheron and escargot were terrific appetizers. Then Truffle burgers were the go-to for us, and they did not disappoint. Delicious, hot & crisp frites. All around no complaints, and the restaurant is as we remember from years ago.
Excellent brunch and fabulous service. Highly recommend the French toast. It's coated in corn flakes and deep fried. Coffee was also great. The host was wonderful - he ended also being our waiter - I was very impressed by his multitasking. He made the meal even better and the entire brunch experience far exceeded my expectations. The restaurant is beautiful inside - very relaxing, cafe vibe. I was also shocked at how reasonably priced everything was - the bill was way less than I had anticipated.
Delightfully authentic French dining experience.
They have all the classics and they do them very well in a relaxing and visually enjoyable dining room. Cocktail bar can make you whatever you desire, and it's a special treat to enjoy their outdoor dining area in the summer. Service could be a bit faster and it can get a little loud inside the restaurant when it's close to being full.
The service was great. Atmosphere, wonderful. Food….ok. I expected more flavor and complexity from a French restaurant. Chocolate mousse was mostly whipped cream. I’ll give them another chance because the waiter was so good. Nice wine prices.
Cool atmosphere and great service. Loved the duck hash. Wife had French Onion soup and loved it. All 4 of us cleaned our plates.
This was our best dining experience during our stay in Boston. The restaurant is beautiful with lovely, sophisticated patrons. Cocktails were made correctly to our specifications. The wine was wonderful, and all the food was outstanding _simply outstanding!
Service was absolutely amazing. You could tell by the number of patrons there who were local residents on a first-name basis with our server.
Restauranteurs should take note of this establishment and learn from their excellence.
Excellent steak and ambiance. Staff are very professional. I got the poor man’s steak, Hanger, it’s a winner! Tuna Tartare and Scallop bisque for starter was tasty! Dessert was Creme Brûlée. YUM. By the glass menu is solid. I would stick to the usual suspects in Bordeaux or Rhone.
Surprised to see the mediocre reviews. Aquitane is has very good food, albeit it with overly high prices and pretentious service, although still polite and accommodating. The fish dishes are great, very nice cocktails. You won't get anything bad. It's another one of those Boston suburb "very good food with prices that suggest it would be top 1% but isn't." types of places.
Skip the crowded places up the street and make reservations here. Absolutely everything was amazing from the wine to the escargot to the venison. French food done extremely well in a chill, civilized environment with perfect service.
It's definitely a busy restaurant, especially weekends. I enjoy their choices of sides with the main dish. I got the duck breast and even though I don't like poultry's breast meat, I enjoyed this a lot. It's savory, moist and with a hint of smoke. The peas is a nice pairing. The hanger steak (medium rare) was a bit too rare for my taste but the texture was really nice. The pate with truffle is really good and could be eaten by 2 people with their bread, butter and the pickled veggies.
Excellent French cuisine near the south end. Been to Aquitaine several times and have not been disappointed any of those times. The duck dishes are prepared really well, and there's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating.
Their dessert selection is full of rich dishes. The chocolate mousse was a favourite of ours. The only thing I'll mention to watch out for is the wait time for food, in the evenings at least, can take a while. The prices are also indicative of a nice French restaurant.
Regardless, looking forward to coming back here soon!
