This was a fantastic lunch spot for my trip to Boston the other day. Anytime I can get some classic New England clam chowder, I’m happy. The lobster roll was also really good. It seemed maybe a little pricey, but that’s pretty standard for the market and seafood. I would absolutely come back again.

The hot butter lobster rolls are to die for!!! Came back a second time just to get one. Their market price paid about $28 for one. No wait because I went at 9pm - during the day or weekends the line is plenty long. Worth the wait though! Clam chowder is spectacular too! Must try on Quincy market.

Decent tourist fare in the Quincy Market, serving all kinds of chowder and lobster rolls. Lobster rolls are expensive 27/28$ but the same price as in Maine.
We went for the clam chowder in the bread bowl, a nice hearty filling meal for 12$, and a Mac and cheese pie for 8$.
The Mac and cheese was dry and over cooked, and nothing to write home about, but there was a certain novelty of having soup in a bread bowl in the beautiful food court upstairs.
Would do again.

This place was very popular with a solid line up every day we walked past. Finally tried this for lunch the line moved pretty fast as we were in it for 15+ mins. Had a small cup of chowder. It was good and we enjoyed it I would have to say a bit overrated. They served it in a bread bowel so if you were hungrier this would be very filling but is on the high side of price.

It is a nice spot for tourists who are walking around the Freedom Trail. It is located in the market where you can find different options to eat. The lobster roll and the clam chowder were very good. Be prepared for a long line, but the service is fast, and the staff is friendly.

Great place to split a lobster sandwich combo. We upgraded to a medium size clam chowder soup. The hot butter melted itself down to the bottom of the sandwich by time we finished most of the soup. Not much table space if you go during lunch time. If you're lucky, There's standing room. Boston chowda was the go to for their lobster roll( not salad roll) and clam chowder.

These folks are the best. We arrived early around 11:30am on Sunday morning. Quincy Market wasn't that busy. Arthur and everyone behind the counter were so friendly. Talked to us about the traditional cold Boston lobster roll vs the hot Connecticut Butter one. We bought a mug and the lady behind the counter saw us leaving with the brown paper bag. Called us over to put it in a plastic handle bag to carry easier. And the food was super good. Lobster roll was a cold sweet wonder. And the chowder was glorious. Thank you!

What can I say? This is the quintessential Boston eatery! Right on the freedom trail you’ll find amazing chowda, lobster and more. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. You have to try the New England Clam Chowda in a bread bowl!

Rating is based solely on my order of a clam chowder soup, a lobster bisque soup, and a hot buttered lobster roll. Both soups were very very good. I would give the clam chowder 4.5 stars and the lobster bisque 4. The lobster roll was also very good but again can't give 5 stars as I had better ones for less money. You pay more here because of the location. But the atmosphere and guys' friendliness make up for the prices. If you are in a mood for this type of food and already at the Hall, skip other vendors and go straight here.
