A unique, non-pretentious dispenser of grilled and fried Mexican style food in a small shop on Chestnut. Everyone walks in and orders their meal from the selections on the overhead menu. The cook and his staff prepare it and then you pick a table and regale is generous, delicious delight. I recommend the table by the open front window.
We were in town for a birthday celebration and didn't want to eat at the hotel. We walked by the Paramont, and looked at the menu and decided to go in. (Were from the South Shore) It was low key, fun place with an open kitchen and lots of family's laughing. I got a glass of wine and my boyfriend got a beer. We both ordered the cheeseburger and seriously it was the best burger I had ever had, seriously!!! I wrote a little note to our waiter Emmet, who was very friendly but gave us our space to chat and eat. Awesome experience!
Flew in to Boston for the UK for the weekend and was in line at 7.45/7.50am for opening at 8, second in line and wasn't disappoint. All fresh, all prepped in front of you and was soooo good. Touch expensive but worth it.
Awesome food! Don’t let the long line keep you away... line moves quick and the food is excellent
Weekend slammed for bkfst/brunch,get there before they open at 8am otherwise long wait. Weekdays much better.
Dinner menu excellent.
I think this was our favorite meal in Boston! We were visiting from Dallas over the weekend and had dinner at the Paramount on the last night of our trip. There for 4 of us in our party and we all got different types of food and sampled it all together. Delicious and the best value for the quality of food! We will definitely be back on our next trip!
Fabulous dinner last night at this great place - KFC pork with asparagus and apple sauce - the steak frites - teriyaki salmon looked great too - great wine list and service excellent - first time here for dinner but we will be back for sure #beaconhill #bostonevents
It is such an awesome experience to go this to Boston landmark! <3 Soooo fun to go with the kids and out-of-town guests. The staff is incredibly kind too. We go all the time even though we are an hour away! :)
Perfect place for breakfast (and Pancakes) in Boston! Two thumbs up!
Would highly recommend their buttermilk pancakes!!!
As someone who likes waffles more, their pancakes are what I’ll be coming back to The Paramount for! Ordered chocolate chip with banana and a side of bacon to complete the brunch meal. The waffles are also worth a try! All other dishes ordered were okay, typical breakfast items that you would find.
The Paramount is straight up a breakfast/brunch spot that has become a go-to in Beacon Hill. Worth a try when you’re around exploring the area.
Great food, if you can tolerate the queue. We ordered 4 things in total - Paramount breakfast, Huevos Rancheros, buttermilk pancakes, and waffle.
The paramount breakfast is your typical American breakfast done really well. It's basically 2 eggs served the any way you prefer, 2 slices of toast, coffee, baked potatoes, and your choice of meat. I got bacon and that was cooked to perfection.
The Huevos Rancheros was good but nothing special. The chorizo was a bit bland but complimented the rest of the dish.
I would say the best thing to order would be the buttermilk pancakes. We had ours cooked with chocolate chip and served with banana slices. I would come back specifically for this dish.
Delicious food as always. Had the Homemade Quinoa-Black Beans Burger and the Tofu Burrito Bowl. We were full and yet wanted to have more. The only small complaint was that the delicious cookies and cream milkshake was too thick for the skinny straw. Would definitely recommend the place though.
Walked down charming old Charles street to find this cute breakfast spot. Service was attentive, friendly and fast. Food was really great! Tried Huervous Ranchero and Bagel Breakfast Sandwich..will Def go back to try other menu items!
5/11/23-another great meal after appointment at MGH, walked down, had pancakes and wrap! always good!
The food was good, and the service was fast and friendly. Very cute spot in a good location.
Recently took a visit to check out this popular brunch spot in the neighborhood. Paramount didn’t take reservations, but we were fortunate to grab a table in less than 15 minutes. Once seated, the food and drinks came out fairly quickly. The orange juice was slightly too sweet for our taste, but the food was great overall. My favorites were the grilled fajita steak and eggs and the Nutella waffle. The Latin American influence on the classic steak and eggs was good, and I also liked that the waffle wasn’t overly sweet despite the Nutella topping.
With the lack of hearty breakfast options in the area, Paramount is definitely a great option for breakfast or brunch if you’re looking for diner food. However, expect a longer wait if your party is more than 4 people.
Incredible breakfast food! I really want to know how they get their fries this crunchy…
The staff was fine, but a bit strange at times. A waiter brought us the check without us asking for it; felt like we were being nudged out. But we still wanted to order dessert, which he really didn’t seem happy about, and felt the need to show it. Everything worked out in the end. Just an annoying interaction, hence the -1 star.
Tasty brunch but a bit pricey. We had 12 people and were sat pretty quickly on a Sunday morning which was surprising but great! Huevos rancheros and salmon benedict were both good.
Sunday brunch at paramount. Came early (before 9:30 am) expecting there to be a wait, and there was. Not all too bad though, we were sat within 20 minutes. Wait staff was pleasant and the food was pretty great. The Bellini was really tasty. I’d definitely dine here again for a nice no frills brunch.
The pancakes with strawberries and blueberries were fantastic. The hot chocolate was also above average.
The best pancakes i have ever had. Crispy on the outside but has a fluffy taste.
The place has cramped seating and they did not seem to take reservations. But the place clears up soon and as many reviewers have mentioned, it is worth the wait
The Paramount has been there for a longgg time. Located in a historical preserved side of Boston. Pretty neighborhood. This place tends to be very busy most of the time. Expect a bit of waiting. It offers a relatively typical brunch menu. What stood out was their Brioche French toast, recommend it. Overall it was decent.
I visited Boston for my 33rd birthday and ate breakfast here. It must be a popular place because it was packed & the line went out the door. This croissant breakfast sandwich was worth the wait & so delicious. I still think about it being back in Washington. It's a must try if you ever dine in.
This is a great local eatery! Splendid food full of flavor and very delicious! Service was quick and kind, fairly busy for a Monday brunch and we got serviced quick! We went with outdoor seating and it was the right call! It was a good day when we went and had a great time relaxing curbside eating our brunch. Great spot and will look forward to coming here again!
I was there for brunch for the first visit. The place is small and we waited for about 20 minutes but it definitely worth it because the quality of the food was the best.
I ordered buttermilk pancakes and my husband ordered Huevos Rancheros and our friend ordered sunset omelette. The portion of the food was perfectly enough. It’s a place that would become my resort.
Ok when you drive by looking for parking and see the line, dont panic and then hit up an ihop.. this place is worth the wait. Delicious!! And the last time I went alone, the waiter was do nice he didnt bat an eye when i ordered bothe the pancakes with strawberries on top and the caramel and bananas french toast! i couldnt decide since both are soo yummy.
Great food, good service, worth the wait!
We stumbled on this quaint little restaurant after not being able to get reservations somewhere else around lunch time. Looking at the menu, it had a little bit of everything. I got the French toast, and wow! It was amazing!! Also had an iced chai, great! Service was a little meh, but that’s something we faced a lot in Boston. We ask to be sat outside due to the inside being very tight and we had a stroller with 2 kiddos, it was such a nice day and worked out. But they were initially not very accommodating when we asked about a table. The French toast definitely won me over.
