Al's Cafe - Boston - Photo album

Ordered: The Italian’s Italian Cost: $12 Thoughts: While it’s not the best of the best sub in the city (Monica’s Mercato), it has the BEST BREAD for a sub in Boston… a fantastic spot for lunch, and an incredible atmosphere. You won’t leave disappointed.
Al's......THANK YOU!!!!!! I walked over today from my work, and I was hoping and praying the chicken salad recipe had not changed in the last 15 years. Al's chicken salad was my absolute favorite sub of all time, and I would always get it when I was working as a deckhand for Boston Harbor Cruises. I
The sub here is delicious and fresh, also affordable! Great customer service with everyone, From customers to delivery drivers! The small size sandwich filled me up from lunch to dinner, you won’t feel hungry!
Huge subs at an unbelievably reasonable price! I got a large steak and cheese with extra cheese and it was only $11. In the picture you will see 2 halves that I reheated in the oven when I got home. This is one large sub! Unlike some places where you ask for extra cheese and you’re wondering where
Okay, this is my kind of place! Looks like about 50 people working back there yelling and making great food. This may have been the biggest sandwich I've ever seen in my life and it was only 12.50. Skip Quincy market, come here and go eat on the benches by Feniel Hall. No place to sit in the restau
My go to lunch spot. The value is unmatched by any lunch spot and I really like both their hot and cold sandwiches. It can get hectic in there but the staff really knows how to handle everything
Amazing sandwiches; fast and delicious, perfect for an office lunch. Stereotypical fast-paced environment too; step up, say your order, ger the sandwich, pay, get out. Keep the line moving fast. Take out only. No seating here. A "small" 10 inch sandwich is plenty of food, especially if you get
Great hoagies, fresh baked bread, the small hoagie is very big and the large is huge. Small is 8.00 and large is 10.00. Very fast, friendly service. A great place for a good quick bite to eat. A must stop in Boston.
Best Area for food in Boston! Best Service. First time going today, and service was fast, good, and every employee I spoke with was kind, nice , and polite!! Highly recommend! Its good!
Very nice experience. I was in and out! Which is great. We got a hot sandwich and cold sandwich. Their bread is phenomenal!!
I thought it is a very normal sandwich place, do not understand why people were in the line for the food. Until I got my Steak Italiano! Smell nice, looked nice, tasted nice! Way better than Subway, definitely a really great place for lunch at downtown. People there are sweet. I was so happy being c
Best sub in Boston. Chicken salad close to the best I've ever had. Sad the old Harvard Square branch closed.
This place wins my personal value for money award. The large sandwich was 9 dollars but it was massive. Felt like it was 2 feet long and it was loaded with steak, cheese, and peppers. Almost no line when I went and it took 5 minutes from ordering to when I started chomping it down.
The Italian was so flavorful! I have it 4 stars because the break crust cuts up your mouth which makes the vinegar sting a big. Also, I do not recommend bringing your stroller in there, its too tight and there is no ramp to get in. May be difficult to for anyone in a wheel chair.
Prices have gone up since covid, but still got the best deal for sandwiches in the area. The food tastes great too.
Fresh ingredients. Incredibly fast service. Great portion sizes. Cheap prices. What more could you ask?
Excellent subs! Ordered ahead, and they were ready right on schedule. Also, the large is gigantic 🤯
Al's is legendary! You always get quick, friendly service and a great sandwich!
As good as it gets for a lunch sub, and I've had many of them and it's all fantastic. There's a reason why this place draws a crowd consistently.
