Review Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Boston

I came here in the middle of November to surprise and celebrate my parents 33rd anniversary. Upon arriving, we parked via valet services that was very convenient as they are located in the Westin Hotel in Copley Place. That was about $20/$25. There is street parking if you prefer that as well. The hotel was very nice, beautifully decorated for the holidays. We entered and was seated by the host right away. Our server Daniel was very kind, friendly and attentive. He made sure we had thee perfect evening. The rest of the staff was very pleasant as well. They were friendly making my parents laugh and we felt cared for and so welcomed. They truly had a great experience and can not wait to re visit. The meats came out in great timing, very tasty and I enjoyed the lamb the most. They surprised us with a dessert and I was so blown because I wasn’t expecting that. I recommend the crème brûlée, the berries were so fresh. I had high expectations and they were definitely met! Management should be very proud for having such a wonderful caring staff. The service was astonishing. Thank you so much for this wonderfully dinner!

Amazing experience! Gabby our server went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Our family was visiting and she had such a nice gesture with us and brought us a special dessert. The food was amazing and all the servers were very friendly. Will definitely be coming back. I give a 10/10 to this place!

Went for dinner and drinks after a long conference day. It’s connected to the Westin Copley with hotel and street entrance. On a Monday evening was quickly seated at the bar, most of the restaurant was empty but filled up later on. Had some wine and apps with dinner food was moist and delicious the picanha seasoning was great. Would be better if the place was more lively but, overall great experience with attentive staff and clean space. They have happy hour food menu too.

I had the most unforgettable dining experience at Fogo Do Chao. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was enchanting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable evening. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. COIAH is the best Waiter I ever had I highly recommend.

We came for my birthday and our 6 year anniversary and Lenira made sure we had a perfect time! Tres Leches was delicious and the assortment of meats was great!
Jose Marte
Stephannie was fabulous. She asked if me and my boyfriend were sharing an occasion. We told her it was our anniversary and she gave us a special dessert. Her wine recommendation was spot on also! Thank you for a beautiful experience !

A one-of-a-kind experience, an unlimited array of meats? Sign me up! Many of the employees were also very helpful and knowledgeable. Alexander translated the names of a few Brazilian cuts to English for me (or vice versa) and helped with pronunciation. I enjoyed Fogo De Chão and will likely be back

We came in with 8 for my brothers bachelor weekend. We were sat and taken care of like I’ve never experienced in my life. The service was incredible and the food. Well let me tell you. The food was insanely delicious. Everything that came to our table was perfection. Never did anyone have a clear plate unless they chose to. If you wanted something specific you just asked one of the meat cutters and just like that it was on your plate. The salad, meats and cheese bar was also incredible. Everything was fresh sliced and top quality. I honestly am a bit picky when out and dining at a 4star place. I expect to get that type of service. I work hard for my money so if I’m gonna put out top dollar I want A+ service. We received nothing less. Well done to the staff at Fogo de Chao. Impeccable time! Thank you.

The service was exceptional, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was great. Oddly enough for a steakhouse the barbecue chicken, chicken wrapped in bacon, and sauasage were the best, the garlic filet was great as well. My only complaint is that the more expensive cuts do not come around very often. After your first serving you will need to ask for them directly. Otherwise this place is a gem for meat lovers.

Amazing BBQ. Great Caipirinha. The staff was great also. It really is a great form of introducing the Rodizio style to everyone that doesn’t know how it is. The price is what you pay for, great quality meat and staff very attentive, always checking if you’re ok. Nice place to go on a date. Would recommend if you really love meat, and isn’t worried about the price.

I skipped lunch on purpose because I wanted to eat like a royalty lol and it was worth it. The meats were enjoyable but we had to request the more expensive cuts, the salad bar was also wonderful. Our waiters were all courteous and professional. It's never a disappointment visiting this restaurant. What a perfect post valentines treat!!

We came on a busy Saturday night to celebrate my nephew's 10th birthday, and the service was truly fantastic. Our server, Alex, was absolutely wonderful from start to finish - he helped make it a special night for the birthday boy. The food was great, but the remarkably polite and attentive staff really made it a very enjoyable experience. Thank you Alex and everyone else who was so wonderful to us!

Outstanding! If you love meat and good salad bar this is the place to go. It'll be a must to go place in your list.

I was married at Fogo de Chao on 1/1/14. I revisited yesterday for our 4 year anniversary as I don't remember eating on my wedding day. The food was delicious and I was full on all the delicious meats. Weould always recommend this place.

The food which is absolutely fantastic takes a back seat to the incredible staff and service they provide!!! I would recommend this restaurant 10 out of 10 times you are hungry, the quality, taste, and variety are superb!

A wonderful dining experience, from the ambiance to the hearty taste of every dish. Truly an enjoyable dinner with a fantastic salad bar, perfectly cut meats of many varieties and a personable and attentive staff. A birthday surprise was prepared for my wife, which made the evening even more eventful.

I very rarely ever do reviews, but this place has earned 5 stars and more! It’s absolutely the best meal I’ve ever had, and my girlfriend agrees... I’ve never sworn about a restaurant in a good way, but Fogo de Chao is FUCKIN’ AWESOME!

I have been to Fogo de Chao restaurants in multiple other cities. Last night in Boston was the worst experience ever. 1. Although were were promptly seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to show up. 2. Most meat was over cooked and charred and there were repeats of the same type and served mostly when we asked for it rather than automatically. 3. Despite telling multiple times that we do not eat pork, it was served toss multiple times. 4. Tight fitting tables with waiters bumping into chairs without apologizing. 5. We complained to the manager, who was responsive and apologized but the situation did not improve. 6. After we were done, we had to wait another 20 mi used for the check after repeatedly asking for it. 7. The waiters were not responsive and somewhat rude - 8. Th valet took another 30 minuted to bring the car. 9. I have alway had great experience in all other Fogo de Chao's, this was by far the WORST experience ever and I will never go to this place again and advise everyone else to stay away

I rarely write reviews but Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse in Boston did an incredible job helping to throw my partner an unforgettable surprise 40th birthday party. We had a party of over 40 people and the restaurant went above and beyond. We had a wonderful time, excellent service, and amazing food. The Boston Fogo is located in the historic Copley Square, across the street from The Boston Public Library and literally steps from Trinity Church and the Hancock Building. Perfect for group dining. I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is impeccable.

The food was the bomb and the customer service was great...they were all over us and I like that i didnt have to look for my waiters ..its a bit expensive tho...i had to pay for 8 ppl so it sucked but if its 2 people its not bad on the pockets lol

Amazing!!! You will not be disappointed! The ambiance, the color and freshness of the salad bar, the meat that melts in your mouth and the impeccable service was just incredible. An absolutely wonderful experience. ❤️

Service was great! Lots of help available. They could us a better selection of meats and add some seafood. NO chicken sausage, Turkey Sausage or shrimp. The salad is extensive. The cheesecakes were good. I made the mistake of comparing it to Oasis in Medford run by Brazilians. This restaurant atmosphere is very nice and the quality is good, but how do you compare to a one where Brazilian people eat?
Phantom
The best Brazilian barbecue in Boston. The atmosphere is high end and the food is great. The salad bar could use a little better combination of food like Texas de Brazil and better choice of soups. Overall if you're looking for meat and hungry then you won't be disappointed! Jonathan and Anna are awesome managers and the main reason we keep returning.

Nice Brazilian steakhouse. The meats just keep coming. We loved well done meats and the staff took extra care to make sure we got specials for that. Loved it

The variety of side dishes on the buffet was awesome! However, as far as the meat that was brought was around was hit & miss---some was great, & some was kinda dry. Also, the service is a "team" concept, which is not great, because one waitress assumes the other one is taking care of you, & in reality, neither one is! We waited on our check, after we were all TOTALLY done, for at least 30 minutes! Wasn't crazy about that aspect.

Had the first churrascaria experience of my life. The chicken salad and the potato salad was nice. The bread was really awesome. Other than that the veggie dishes were good. The mashed potatoes were decent. The fries were good. The chicken was good. Rest seemed okay to me for that expensive a dinner.

My mom was in town so we all went down to Boston for Brazilian. Everyone enjoyed the meat, there was a marinated chicken that was a favorite. The kids liked the sausage. I enjoyed the salad bar. There were fresh greens, and various salad types and fixings, peppered bacon, soups, and breads. We made reservations for 6pm. It wasn't extremely busy when we got there but the dining room soon filled up. Great atmosphere. Family friendly but mature and sophisticated-feeling at the same time.

I'm a big fan of Brazilian food. While at UCLA, I dined at WeHo's Bossa Nova and have been smitten ever since. So naturally I was excited to try Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian Steakhouse in Copley Square. There's a few things that make Fogo de Chao Churrascaria (that's Brazilian for ground fire steakhouse), stand out from other restaurants - Brazilian or otherwise. Read on to find out what it's all about!

All I can say is Excellent!!! The food was so yummy, staff was friendly and the service was quick. I would definitely recommend a reservation. Wish it was closer because I have thought about going back multiple times and can't wait til I do :)

First time at a Brazilian steak house, it's basically a lazy man's buffet. They said the wait would be 20 minutes, but it was less than 5. The actual buffet was beautifully stocked with charcuterie-type stuff and other sides. The service was very quick and friendly. Drinks were strong. I would recommend it for any meat-lover with a BIG appetite.

Went on Sat night. Place was VERY busy and the staff could not keep up. Waited 15-20 for the water to be refilled after asking 5 times. Waited 30 min for the check. Wait staff was pleasant, but overwhelmed. Restaurant is new and very clean. Food overall was good, but the meats took a long time to go around. Would think twice about dining here on a Fri or Sat night. We had the exact same experience with the wait about a month ago on a Sat night. But that time the waiter was not only slow, but had a pompous attitude on him.

Enjoyed it a lot. Food and service was great. Insider tip: lunch is the exact same as the dinner (all you can eat meat and salad bar) but half the price ($28). I would definitely go back again!

A few weeks ago I was invited to head over to Fogo de Chao to check out Bar Fogo. Better known for their all you can eat service, my brother and I like to go there to get our meat on! Check out my previous review here.

Fogo de Chao is a high end Brazilian steakhouse and part of a national chain, although it certainly doesn't feel like a chain restaurant. When you walk in you're encouraged to first check out the salad bar and buffet complete with different types of salads, veggies, side dishes, antipasto, and my personal favorite - a bowl of bacon!

bunnyandporkbelly February 21, 2013 1 i jus wanted to do a quick pictureless review on Fogo de Chão. i didnt bring my camera and my phone died on me. yea one of those days. sorry guys! anyway, i went to fogo de chão for dinner. its a brazilian steakhouse in back bay. they have locations across the nation. very professional staff and very well organized restaurant. i was pretty impressed by how good the service was. very attentive, professional, and accommodating. the restaurant is very well organized. everything is well designed for a smooth/pleasure dinning experience. everything is sparkling clean. i rarely see wine glasses this sparkling clean at restaurants. the food was not bad per se. im not a red meat person, so i probably couldnt appreciate the meat as much. they do have a variety of meat to choose from. like most brazilian bbq places, the gauchos come around to your table and slice the meat for you right at your table. nothing really interested me at the salad bar. none of the
Boston Food And Love
A couple of weekends ago we decided to celebrate being alive, young, and healthy by going to Fogo De Chão. This authentic Brazilian steakhouse, also known as a rodizio, delivers a parade of delicious food meal after meal.

Fogo de Chao opened in Copley Square earlier this month. The 300+ seat Brazilian steakhouse is the chain’s first location in the northeast and will be a welcome addition for meat lovers. The steakhouse has several dining rooms. I would suggest requesting a table away from the main room with the salad bar and rice & bean stations; these other rooms have less foot traffic and are more quiet.

I don’t think I had to eat until the next day after this meal. David came in to Boston on Wednesday to go out to lunch with me. There wasn’t much in the area that I had never been to, but when my colleague Lauren suggested Fogo de Chao , we were convinced. I was actually surprised by the formality of the restaurant. Knowing that it was a Brazilian steakhouse with meats galore, I was excepting a bit more casualness to it. But the service and the ambiance were great. And because it was lunch time, the restaurant was quieter, but the gauchos were there with precision offering the different varieties of meat, chicken and pork. When we first arrived, I made a bee-line to their impressive salad bar. It certainly wasn’t your typical lettuce/tomatoes/cucumbers/croutons type of salad bar.

I highly recommend Fogo de Chao – they have plenty of other locations in the US and Brazil, and the Boston one is the newest. The restaurant is where the The Palm used to be at the Westin Copley, right near the Boston Public Library and very close to the Copley T stop, so it’s really accessible.

Fogo de Chão opened in Boston last Friday at the Westin Copley in the space that was formerly occupied by The Palm. We were lucky enough to get a special preview on Thursday night. I have never seen a soft opening of this magnitude so flawlessly executed and my dining companion had never experienced a Churrascaria. So, it was a first for both of us. Fogo de Chão is a chain but it really doesn't have the cookie-cutter feel of a chain. The space is expansive and the service is impeccable.

Fogo de Chao is going to be a stronghold in the Back Bay, I can feel it. It’s fun, festive and was far beyond my expectations in terms of quality and variety. The salad bar alone prepped my stomach for the upcoming Thanksgiving feast, but the addition of the 16 types of meat ensured my success come Turkey Day. There’s nothing else like Fogo de Chao in the heart of the city, so this is definitely a great and unique addition to the Boston food scene.

Fogo de Chão is definitely not an experience I'd recommend for frequent visits, but it's a fun special occasion place. Maybe not for date night, though. You won't feel romantic after participating in this meat orgy. There's no way to avoid the meat coma. It'll probably become a meat hangover the next morning.
