Friday night about 6:30. Very friendly staff! Walked over from our hotel (Parker House) and placed an order of fries, chicken & waffles and mushroom grilled cheese. Drank a cider while I waited. 10-15 minutes later the order was ready and smelled delicious. The woman behind the counter recommended a place around the corner to get beer to go. By the time I got beer and back to the room the food was lukewarm but still delicious!! I can't imagine how much better it would be dining in. Highly recommended.
Two words: large poutine. So good, so fresh, so authentic. Even better after a night of drinking. Tables can be hard to come by, but who cares when you can stand and enjoy a little bit of heaven in a little box. Highly recommend. Regular poutine is all you need, but they've got fries and lots of cool sauces, plus waffles!
Always delicious. I have a soft spot for poutine and frites in general. I'll make sure I get out for the long bike ride or a run in order to occasionally treat myself to a large poutine as Saus. It's small, so be mindful- but it's totally worth it.
Visitors: look at the menu before you go... if the staff has to give you a PowerPoint presentation on what poutine is; you're holding up the line and we're all hangry.
Freakin' LOVE this place! The fries are the point and they couldn't be tastier. All the sauces are amazing (hence the name), and their frik and other specialties are on point. I come for the poutine, with braised beef. Also, great selection of beers to pair with everything. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. I just wish they had more space so I could take everyone I know!
We are visiting from Houston and had a great time sitting at the bar. The staff was super friendly and even offered up suggestions for our trip. The food was great as well. So glad we detoured to this place to eat!

Was really good! I tried the the chicken tender sandwich w/ fries. Was w/ 2 others so we tried 4 of the dipping sauces ...garlic, chipotle, cheddar bacon & cheddar ale. All absolutely fabulous! I would definitely give it a try. Besides it's a Triple D approved restaurant.
My favorite place to eat when I visit Boston. The chicken and waffles are my favorite. The food is always so fresh and the staff is great!
Love this place! Everything I've had has been great, but the chicken sandwich is my fav!
Everything is amazing the waffles are to die for and the bbq pork and then the chicken sandwiches are melt in your mouth delicious. Coming back for sure!
Everything here is always delicious. Chicken and waffles are my fave; they are the best here. Saus does the most amazing delicious fries and I'm usually not even a fry girl. Try poutine fries with truffle mushroom, delish!
Literally one of the best chicken sandwiches Ive ever had. The bacon parm cheese sauce and the curry ketchup ::drools::
Great fries. The waffles are to die for, so sweet, crunchy and the toppings are delectable!!! Supper friendly staff who are more than happy to take a moment to chat with a chatty kid.
My vegan kimchi ranch chicken sandwich was so delicious, with the Tender “chicken” fried to perfection! Loved that everything on the menu can be made vegan so I will definitely be back to try different items
This restaurant is perfect for a couple specific situations. If you’re coming back from out of the country and are craving some greasy delicious burgers, chicken sandwiches, or just some fries then this your place. You drank a little too much at happy hour and need a quick bite to eat, this place will fill you right up. I have no complaints, this place is perfect for what it is
My second time returning to Saus. I was craving the chicken nuggets and kimchi poutine I tried the first time. Was just as awesome as the first time. Saus has the best fast food in the area
Cant say enough amazing things about Saus. It was on DD&D for a reason!
The southern crispy, cauliflower falafel, & kimchi ranch crispy sandwiches are all incredible. Even better if you make them spicy.
All of the sauces are amazing, you can get an enormous plate of food that will keep you full all day for like 20 bucks. Free water and in house hot sauce up for grabs at all times.
I cone here at least once a month, if not more! I go out of my way to come here and id recommend it to anyone! Lots of vegan options too!
The ONLY down side is that the seating is not abundant, very very tiny and loud space and seats fill up fast.
Tasty sandwiches and delicious fries with very unique dipping sauces. I honestly want to go back just to try more of the sauces.
The restaurant is really small and cramped though, so it doesn't seem like the most comfortable space to eat in.
We really enjoyed this place and felt it was a good value for the cost. We got a crispy chicken sandwich and poutine and both were delicious! Totally recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.
The bourbon cherry bacon was good, got it with brined pork bratwurst. However they were out of the bacon for the to go order which was the really what attracted me to the sandwich so had to dock a star for that
When planning our visit to Boston, we read that Saus was a must. I completely agree. I had the Kimchi Chicken Sando and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve eaten in my life. I absolutely devoured it. The poutine was chock-full of cheese curds. I tasted the pineapple teriyaki sando and it was great too. The service was fast and friendly. There was plenty of seating both inside and out. Highly, highly recommend checking it out.
This was FANTASTIC! This place could definitely be my go to every night! POUTINE!!!! Yup, thank you! This was a meal in itself!! Get it with the egg!! #sogood!!! I had the fish sandwich and the fresh homemade hot 'saus' hit the mark!!! The IPA selection is out of this world too!!! You CANNOT go wrong here! So, when in Boston, visit Saus!!!!
Yup! You're welcome!
Fantastic spot! The mushroom grilled cheese is great, and all of the different sauces for the fries are excellent, include the spicy jalapeño one. Awesome beer selection and great pricing, too. Would have been 5 stars EXCEPT for the following:
1. Our fries were mostly little fry bits, almost what would be left over at the bottom of the fry pile. If you have such a focus on Belgian style fries and the sauces, you have to give people fully formed fries rather than little burnt bits. Disappointing.
2. The staff committed that horrible faux pas of wildly spraying cleaning solution on the table next two us, making it fly into our food and faces, TWICE, at the tables to both sides of us. It is stunning that people aren't properly trained not to do this. It is super simple. If you have to clean the table next to where people are eating, spray your dishtowel with the cleaning solution AWAY from people and their food. Disappointing.
Great prices and I would love to come back. Glad there were vegetarian options that weren't a flop. Definitely recommend
The overall presentation was awesome! The restaurant was clean, open kitchen design, friendly staff and convently located. We ordered the lobster roll, chicken sandwich and sausage hotdog. The food was well seasoned, freshly prepared, fairly priced and large portions. If your in the city don't forget to visit.
Haven’t been to Saus since pre covid days and it still holds up to the first time I tried their poutine. The chicken sandwiches are HUGE for $11. Great prices and fast service.
REALLY great food! I've been wanting to visit this place for a while. I happened to be on the orange line and realized this place was about a minute walk from Haymarket, so I decide to make a stop. 100% Worth it. Got the Poutine and Cowboy Style Brat. Both had amazing flavor and were cooked to perfection. I can not find a single bad thing to say about this place other than if you are planning on eating here, it may be a bit crowded. Definitely not a lot of seating, but that isn't a problem on a nice day you can just eat outside. Overall definitely a must try. I will be back again soon to try some of their other dishes like the chicken sandwiches! Everything looks so good.
What a delicious sandwich! Found this place on TikTok and so happy I got to try it! Just got the classic sandwich but it was delicious the mayo was on point! The large fries were plenty for two people!
Had poutine for the first time and was not bad at all. The fries were good and rustic but not the greatest I've ever eaten. Friendly and fast service and very decent prices. A bit salty for European taste buds but that's generally the case in the US.
Super easy online ordering and pickup. Love the poutine with veg options! The brats were excellent and flavorful and we loved the coleslaw underneath the brat. Food stayed very well even though we traveled an hour after ordering. Wish the sauce containers were bigger.
