Romantic and cozy atmosphere with generous portions! The Arincini was delicious: would highly recommend this appetizer! The Chicken Parmesan was flavorful and there was so much chicken! Service was attentive and very talkative. Felt very homey!

Walking in to La Summa feels like walking into an Italian Nonna's home. Its cozy, romantic, and intimate atmosphere invites you to sit down and enjoy the vibes. Wind down with a cocktail or some wine and enjoy a bread basket while listening to Frank Sinatra on the speakers or their own Italian musician (call for days and times) singing to the crowd. Feast on Italian favorites like bruschetta caprese, gnocci, meatballs, fusilli, and manicotti or try an evening special.
My boyfriend raved about the tagliatelle polpette, and I had a shrimp and scampi special. It was the empitome of "delicioso" and "magifico" (said with your best Italian accent and 🤌🤌🤌)
Our hostess and server were very welcoming and warm. Our gostess sat us a little before our reservation time as we showed up early. Our server answered any questions we had and gave us recommendations. She was an absolute delight!
I also want to note that it is more economical than other restaurants in the area. The quality, flavor, and portions you get at La Summa can not be beat anywhere on the North End.
As for parking, just like anywhere on the North End, it can be a challenge, but the Haymarket and North end stations are nearby. Also, make sure to make reservations because it fills up quickly!

Closed Mondays- forgot about the Main Street. It’s packed you have to wait in line. J/k those restaurants are good but this one has been so goo to us! One of our top family places to eat! Not sure if they remember us there but anytime we have family fly in or visit we take them there! Every dish is made with love! The espresso and pistachio drink omg!!!! So worth it! Nice cozy place place to take the family or have a romantic night out! Our top choice in the north end. To owner and our nephew hit it off and ever since then we loved it even more. Rip Mrs. B. I loved the fact that there was a gluten free menu! My gluten free penne with vegetables & garlic and oil sauce was delicious! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meatball entree. My mom really liked the alfredo sauce for her dish and our friends liked their meals too including stuffed mushrooms appetizer. Sharon was a great server! 🤗
Amazing restaurant! We ordered the pappardelle e melanzane and the salsiccia - italian sausage, both plates were delicious. The service is always fantastic and they have delicious drinks and desserts. If you are in the North End, LA Summa is a must!
Very classic white table cloth Italian American spot. The food was enjoyable, tasty and huge portions. Cant go wrong with the chicken parm that comes with pasta. Very good prices too.
The food, service, atmosphere and prices were great! I literally don’t have any negative things to say about it! haha La Summa is perfect spot for a date night or even dinner out with the family. If we ever make out to Boston again, we’ll definitely be stopping by.
My Family and I had a wonderful dinner at La Summa this evening. From the delicious food and holiday decor, to the wonderful servers and the beautiful live, holiday music, every aspect of the dinner felt warm, intentional and personal. We will most definitely be back again!
A small family run Italian restaurant In North End. We ordered House Special and Vegetarian penne with olive oil n garlic with veggies. We had a wonderful experience, small place and bit crowded, try to get the reservation. Most of the restaurants need reservations. All the staffs were very friendly. Overall experience was really good👍👍👍👍
Nice spot for dinner. The arancini were really really good, they had a good texture & tasted great. Shrimp with zucchini and broccoli was fresh and light for a pasta dish. I had a chicken & shrimp special with a pistachio cream sauce. Really glad we found this place, understated great Italian food.
