Good food & good service, eat here so often, they already remember our drink choices & table choice. Great family place to eat & get full everytime. Always really nice. :D

12-20-19 lunchtime. I skipped breakfast today. List try a buffet for lunch. When I first walked through the doors the location appeared to be clean and spacious. All of the food trays were full of food and had good presentation. The food taste pretty good for being a buffet. The waiter I had was not very sociable and did not come around often. Other than that I had a good experience and I would return to this location. Good job

The food and service is always great. I always eat more than I should....LOL. You do have to wear a mask while fixing your plate at the buffet tables, that should be no problem for folks....no one wants to become ill. If you don't have one, they will sell you one for like 50 cents. The staff is very attentive to making sure you have all that you need and keeps the used plates removed so you have room for more food 😉. Go and enjoy if you haven't already, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Food was pretty good and was a good selection available. Restaurant wasn't very crowded and the waitstaff kept the used dishes cleared and drinks full. All in all, no complaintz.

Definitely my favorite Chinese Buffet in Bossier. Well staffed and good cheap food.

I went yesterday with my friends and it was great! There were a lot of choices, the food was great, and the lunch spectial's price is unbeatable! The waitress was really attentive and the host was great too!

Loved it! But would like more variety in the sushi.

Good food for a good price. Very good crawfish!

I don't go to buffets very often and China Flag is the reason why.

I recently had the urge to try something outside my 'go-to' places and thought China Flag after watching the commercial. I had hoped it would be better considering they are busy enough to support 2 locations.
I was sadly disappointed. My fiancé and I went in for lunch at 12:45 on a Tuesday and noticed that it was only moderately busy. (Apparently only busy enough to keep some dishes fresh and warm.)
First off, no one was at the door, or register, when we came in. Someone eventually shuffled over to seat us but acted like we were putting him out somehow.
Second, DON'T order the iced tea! It is truly terrible. I usually order unsweet so unfortunately i didn't have any sugar to mask the taste. Maybe the sweet tea is better. The soda was better but not by much.
My fiancé and I tried a little of just about all the dishes available that looked appetizing. So like maybe 9 or 10 out of the whole buffet. The mushrooms and onions were good as well as the bourbon chicken and teriyaki chicken on a stick. That's about it. The sushi looked scary and much of everything else looked dry or unappetizing. The rest of what we tried was just bland and greasy.

I must say my favorite thing at all Chinese buffets is the sugar donuts and they do have excellent fresh sugar donuts. Which is where the .5 in my rating came from.

Overall, China Flag is expensive, its only somewhat clean feeling/smelling, and the customer service is lacking. My recommendation is to go up the road to Pierre Bossier Mall if you want quality, fresh, and affordable Chinese food if you just really don't want to go to a sit down restaurant.

A lain back take-out day. I was on a business trip in the Bossier City area and it was Sunday, so a lain back day. Take-out was what I wanted and finally decided on Chinese so firstly I went to Goolgle maps for nearby locations and some reviews of the establishments. This search was neared down to two, China Inn on Texas St. or China Flag on Airline Dr. So on to ‘Tripadvisor’, where I saw China Inn had the highest rating. Both had a good selection of food on their website takeout menus. I called to put in an order at China Inn but never got an answer so I went there. I found China Inn was closed permanently from all appearances.
So on to China Flag, the establishment had a good crowd and had a clean Asian appearance. The hostesses and cashier were young asian people and not very attentive. When finally asked why I was there I informed them I was here for take-out and directed to the cashier. I thought I would be given a menu, instead I was handed a to go box. I should have stopped right then and asked if they had a real takeout menu where you get food freshly made and what you want to eat. However it was about 5 PM and I thought with a Sunday dinner crowd there would be fresh dishes I might like. My original website based dinner consisted of Shrimp or Spring Roll, Hot and Sour Soup, Teriyaki Chicken stick and Szechuan or Hunan Shrimp. Most of my menu is standard chinese buffet food, so I got two Teriyaki sticks, two Spring Rolls, and some kind of shrimp entree in a sticky spicy sweet sauce with only yellow onion and jalapeno in it. It did not look appealing as did most of the other entrees. I looked at the grill area they had shrimp however the vegetable items were very limited. So in desperation I just get some kind of stir fried crispy whole shrimp and fried shrimp. I returned to the counter and ask about a container for soup and given a pint sized container. I get hot and sour soup, here I note the other soup caldrons are full the hot and sour is almost empty, implying very old soup. I did not find the white rice and should have asked someone but I did find hot mustard and containers to put it in. At check out, the young asian man weighs the food at a cost of $4.95 per pound, mine comes to $6.95 and then the soup is added totaling $9,02. I ask for utensils and he adds a small paper bag to the sack.
When I return to my hotel room, I get more napkins from the hotel service area and glad I did, the small paper bag has one plastic fork and two small napkins, not even a spoon for the soup or soy sauce. All the food is still warm and the Teriyaki chicken has good flavor and is not totally dried out, The whole shrimp are greasy, crispy, very dry and overcooked. The fried shrimp is bland but moist, with no seasoning at all. The spring rolls are also bland with more roll than stuffing and very dried out. The sticky, spicy, sweet shrimp are ok with spice but needed rice or something to cut the sweet taste down. I did not try the soup, with no spoon eating soup like hot and sour you don’t get the full flavor of the soup. In fact the only really good item in my meal was the hot mustard, spicy, good clean flavor not to thick or runny.
I would not recommend this establishment, since just the appearance of the entrees did not look appealing, the grill was limited and the food I selected was mostly poor and the service was also poor to almost snobbish.

Regular stop, good food. When I travel to Shreveport I normally stop in for dinner. clean building, good service and above average food. Good selection, and plenty of shrimp dishes. I eat in Chinese buffets where ever I travel, China flag scores an 8.5 out of 10.

Ok but not great. This place is dark and somewhat out of style to be new. The customer service is lacking. The people that work here really don't seem to "get it". The food is decent. The shrimp are the best thing on the buffet and there is generally a good selection. They have fresh fruit and good fish dishes but also a lot of fried things. There is soup and sushi as well. Lots of sweets too. Overall, it isn't bad but I have had better. It is usually consistent. I would give it a 7 out of 10 on a good day. Good for lunch. Don't expect fantastic.
I Know What's Good
It was pretty nice, although the price for takeout was a little steep, being $41 for 4 boxes of takeout. The food was tasty, but some of it tasted strange. The workers didn't seem like the happiest campers, like they were angry at their jobs. Fairly nice though, and tastes like any other Chinese buffet.

Decent. Good for a Quick Fix. With all of the Chinese buffets around Shreveport-Bossier, this was not one of my favorites. Nothing really special got my attention. The food was decent but I've seen their selection on many others. Their location on Airline Drive is somewhat of a negative for me. Tough to get in and out.

I hope this was just an off night. Everyone else has glowing recommendations on this place so maybe my first trip last night was a bad one.

It started off really weird-there was a couple ahead of us who were immediately asked by the hostess something about what was the name of a group of arm muscles. The woman of the couple took out her smart phone and actually began trying to look it up for her-before she was even seated! Who does that? And even weirder, the hostess seemed mad because the woman didn't find it fast enough and we were waiting on her to seat us!

So...after that strange debacle, we were seated and went to the buffet. Good things I can say: The rice and broccoli (in the beef and broccoli) were very good. I was sorely disappointed in everything else. There was little selection. The teriyaki (spelling!) chicken tasted exactly like the roast chicken, and the general tso's chicken tasted exactly like the sesame chicken (sans sesame seeds). The cheese wonton was...stomach churning. All we could taste was grease. Same goes for the fried zucchini. I was immensely disappointed in the egg and spring rolls. I would have loved to have been able to use the hibachi but no one was there to cook for us.

I will say that it was certainly tidy, and the waitstaff was amicable, even when an elderly man used his cane to poke other "buffetteers" out of the way.

It was out of my way to go here, so I doubt I'll be returning. Just not impressed with the few choices, bland taste, and overly greasy menu.

I dont recommend this to dogs. They had a good variety of food but it was all bland. There were three things that actually had some kind of taste to it and the service was ok but not much to speak of.

Good variety. Really tasty. Fantastic service. Would definitely return again and again. Price was great.

A very good buffet with good variety, and fresh food
Heidi
Good selection, fresh food. Friendly service.

Following in the footsteps of Chef Lee's this Chinese buffet has ran it's course. It started out quite good, for a buffet, with fresh dishes, lots of variety and amazingly good sushi for a buffet. All that has drastically changed over time and now I couldn't recommend this place on any level. Like the a fore mentioned Lee's, the Bossier location is first to slip and soon after the Shreveport location has followed suit. If there's not a radical change they will soon follow Lee's by closing first in Bossier then soon after in Shreveport. The only, and I mean only upside to my last visit was a very kind server doing her best to make the meal acceptable. Food was old, dried out, smelled, unappealing. Atmosphere, not clean, smelled, not an inviting thing about it. Worst part, the once good sushi was inedible, downright awful, they should be embarrassed to serve it.

Great place to eat!. Great price for the variety of food that you get to indulge yourself in! Great food and service as well.

Good food, iffy service. I would recommend it though.

Great Chinese Buffett! Sushi is def Buffett sushi, but everything else was fantastic. They have everything!
Jonathan
This is definitely the best chinese buffet I've had in bossier, decent variety of foods, and the sushi isn't bad either, especially when you consider that its coming from a.buffet.

Best Chinese Buffet. I eat here about once a week. Its more than you would expect from a buffet.. The sushi is the only sushi I will eat. and I have tried sushi from places far more expensive than here. the sushi has a great texture and is very fresh. We get to go orders in which they charge you by the pound. My family of three can eat plenty of fresh Chinese for about 13.00. Its clean, its fresh, and rarely out of anything on the bar. Best Chinese buffet around here.
Tricia
You will be pleased!. This nicely decorated and immaculate restaurant cooks in small batches and refills the buffet constantly so the food is always freshly cooked. They have all the standard chinese dishes and they are tasty, but my favorite items are the boiled shrimp and the baked mussels (delicious sauce). Yummm!!!
SG
Amazing, fresh, and very abundant! Especially love the crawfish!

Delicious. So many of the local chinese buffets around here are very much alike. Most of the dishesat the other places taste like they were made a while in advance and have been sitting on a heating station in the back for a while. I went to China Flag for the 1st time this evening after reading a lot of good reviews on it. I was extremely impressed. While many of the same dishes here are served at other places, everything here tasted fresh and better. Also, there had a larger selection than most of the other places. They even had some REAL sushi and it was all very good and fresh tasting which I can not say about any of the other Chinese buffets around here. This is definitely my new favorite place when I want Chinese buffet. Give it a try and I feel sure you will be glad you did.

Decent. Visited on a none crab leg night. Lots of choices. The shrimp was good! The chinese food was fine. I sampled most everything and it was standard chinese buffet fare. One highlight was the sushi. It was surprisingly fresh and good! Unusual for a chinese buffet. If you want all you can eat sushi (mostly rolls) and shrimp/crawfish, this is the place to go!

I haven't been impressed with many bossier/shreveport area restaurants but this place was pretty good

Finally a good Chinese buffet in town. Great quality food, fresh and delicious. Shreve/boss has needed a good Chinese buffet for a while
El Venable
Above average chinese buffet. This place is pretty good, but not the best in Shreveport-bossier. Although, It is much more convenient location than the buffet I consider to be the best.
