Food came out quick and Hot. Very fresh. I got the patty melt. Delicious.

I’ve been searching for at least good Chinese since moving back home after 25 years in Montana. I’ve been disappointed with all of them..O.C., SE & NE Portland, etc. until a friend took me to Red Apple!! Variety, fresh and huge portions, can’t wait until breakfast.

Something out of the city. A good stop on the way to the mountain. Pros were service speed, portions, and price. Staff are friendly and everything looked nice. Don't assume this is a breakfast restaurant. It's a Chinese restaurant with a breakfast menu. I can only speak to the breakfast menu. As usual we ordered the eggs Benedict and biscuit and gravy. The Benedict was a traditional affair, good thickness on the hollandaise, but very standard balance of flavors. It won't wow you. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy... Ok, its my estimation that it isn't from a can. Good thickness, actual sausage. The flavor is the downfall. There really isn't any. It's bland, it's cooked flour sauce served on baked flour cakes. Disappointing, but not something that will keep me from trying this place again.

I loved the food and the prices, but there's no air conditioning and it was so hot! Also they have an infestation of flies that kept landing on us while we ate! If they fix the fly problem I'll change my review!

I am a burger guy and am happy with what I get when I head out of town and stop here! The bacon is cooked right!

Nice diner experience. Food was well above average, priced right ($8-$12 plates) and large portions. Service was excellent and food came out pretty quick. They have a bar but it's separated by a wall so it was not noticeable when eating with kids. Menu highlights: Burgers, Cashew Chicken, BBQ pork noodle soup (pictured) and kids Menu has mashed potatoes and gravy! If you are driving to or from Mt. Hood this is the stop. Come eat!

First time there, Great food. Wonderful service, clean. You get alot of food for the price. Enough food in one meal to share if you like. 😋 very friendly and food taste great. Will definitely go back again. Now are number one place to eat Chinese food. They also serve American food. They also have lotto, sports TV, and pool and fun 😀 place to spend a nice evening 😀 😄 😊

We always see our good friend Fanny. She is on the wait staff, she always has a smile on her face.

Have only recently enjoyed dining here. I wasn't a huge fan in prior years, but they have really improved. Good food. Love the sweet and sour chicken and I don't normally order that. It's nice to get soup with the combination dinners. There are plenty of choices for food both Chinese and American and breakfast served til 2pm.
