Mastoris

Found this place on a whim and it did not disappoint. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They have different rooms. We were in the main dinner area. They have a banquet/ buffet area, bar lounge area, and a main dinner area. All were very clean and decorated nice. We started off our meal with delicious sweet bread and a pitcher of cold water.Which if you ask they can bring more (kids eat alot). The kids meals were a nice size and tasted good. The pastrami sandwich was on par and loaded!! The Caesar wraps were also loaded and filling. Overall the food was good and the menu has many options. The bakery on the way out looked delicious and I was tempted to bring the whole bakery home. But my stomach was filled from dinner there was no room for desert. Prices were great and everyone left happy. So check this place out !!

My husband and I ate here for breakfast this morning. They have a breakfast buffet on the weekend. It's 16.99 each but they have a lot on the buffet. Fresh fruit salad, granola, yogurt, scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, French toast, bacon, fat sausages, ham, pork roll and grits. You can get any beverage coffee, tea and juices. Also got an English muffin. Also got their signature bread. Service was good. Food good as well.

So sad to see how horrible Mastoris's is. Waited over an hour for 2 French onion soups when the cup of soup arrived it was onion consume and the chef said that's how the cup comes only the bowl has the baguette and cheese on it. I will not be returning any time soon. Waited another 45 minutes for the salad and shrimp which was reheated because the lettuce bed was wilted

The good: Mastoris is doing fantastic with Covid guidelines to keep customers and employees safe. They take your temperature, provide hand sanitizer, and were observed cleaning in between customers. The employees were polite. The bad: the food was really bland and not well prepared. We ordered burgers to play it safe and were greatly disappointed. The burger appeared like a frozen patty only seasoned on top (salt pepper and loads of bbq) the patty was hard and was overwhelmed by this huge bun smothered in butter. The bacon had an awful after taste and was rubbery and difficult to chew. I barely ate my food, I took one bite of each item and could not bring myself to finish it. The couple behind us were also heard complaining about their meal being cold and left abruptly without finishing their meal. The verdict: If you can't get simple items like fries and bacon down, im not going to trust, that your establishment can/will deliver on your entree items. The bakery section has a large variety (may have great items) but the two items I tried ( yellow birthday cake and vanilla cupcake with buttercream icing) were just "ok."

A very well known diner in New Jersey but my food at the last 2 visits was awful. This time I stopped in for breakfast. I had an omelette with cheese and onions. It was overcooked and had no flavor. The sausage I requested as a side had a wierd taste. My friend got scrambled eggs with toast and she said they were just ok. The diner is a major draw for people all over but I think it has gone down hill over the past few years. They are also known for the cinnamon bread and cheese bread that they serve before the meal, both were very dry. I will definitely not be going back. Just very mediocre.

If I can give it -10 STARS I WOULD.... HORRIDDDDDDD......HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...waiting 25 mims for a cappuccinno...Birthday Cannoli cake was amazing...woweed...only the service was horrendous. Young lady was pretty much rude, My daughter and I were just picking up a cake and asked questions as we were preparing a special celebration to celebrate my youngest daughter's bday. I went in to asked for a milkshake stand there for abt 8 mins to be given another attitude by the waiter. A nice lady there told me not to waste my time as they take forever for the order. I left went to DQ to get a milkshake. First impressions are that, which speaks and says a lot. I dont think I am going back. Will find an Italian place to buy cakes from.
