It’s one of the few remaining stand-alone A&Ws and that’s just the way we like it. We drive or ride our MCs all the way from KC just for a chili dog and good old fashioned root beer float in a frosty mug. Food is always good and service friendly—don’t change a thing!!
Finally took the time to stop here whilst driving I70. A bit out of the way but so worth it. Drive through was quick, our food was perfect, fresh even at 8pm & the boy working the window was very polite & patient while we tried to decide what we wanted. We will absolutely be back!
It had been a long time since I'd seen a free standing A&W, so we had to stop and check it out.
The restaurant is a little dark but it seemed to be just like I remembered them from once upon a time.
The counter staff was friendly and quick. Food was typical fast food. Good if you like that, which we did.
The facility was clean and I think it would be fun to be back in winter to sit around the fire place.
You don't see too many A&W root beer places around anymore. It's usually a part of long John silver's , but if you can find it separate it's definitely worth going to. Also having a nice cold frozen mug with rootbeer in it cant be beat . Definitely brings back nostalgic memories.
Classic A&W diner feel, same tasty food, ice cold mug for my rootbeer, and a very friendly server who engaged our 5 year old without hesitation.
This stop brought back childhood memories We were told this is the only stand alone A&W left in Missouri. Stopped for ice-cream, which is always good!
