We were visiting Boone and decided on Vidalia for lunch. On Saturday they were offering a brunch menu. The ambience was quiet inside. Service was very quick. We ordered chicken and waffles and fried chicken sandwich with fries. WOW delicious!! The food tasted amazing and was so hot and fresh. Huge portions and great value. The winner though was the blueberry cobbler!!! The cobbler was absolutely delicious and coupled with the homemade vanilla ice cream was the best combination. Definitely try their desserts!
This was the first dining experience here for my wife and I. We were invited by good friends who are regulars here. We're both really glad we were able to accept their invitation to dinner. The atmosphere is really nice and laid back and relaxing. Jordan, our server for the evening was exceptional. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the evenings specials as well as the drink specials. She also was training another very nice young lady but sadly I forget her name. However, she did an awesome job as well and I have no doubt she'll become a great asset to the team at Vidalia. The meal options we all selected were fantastic ! And the attentiveness of our servers was wonderful. Myself and my friend Derrick chose the Ribeye which was amazing. My wife had the Salmon which she greatly enjoyed. And Derricks wife opted for the Korean Style Rice Bowl. Each dish was fantastic. We will definitely be back to eat here again. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful dining experience.
This place was great! Inside was busy and loud, but we sat on the porch and it was great. They don’t have a kids menu, but did provide some Mac and cheese for my nephew when we asked. The burger— omg it was delicious!
EXCELLENT!!!! I had the pickled beet salad as well as the shrimp & grits. BEAUTIFUL presentation and plating and absolutely delicious and mouthwatering flavors. Thoroughly enjoyed both dishes and the salad was also very large! Very friendly service as well
Our second visit to Vidalia since first finding it a few years ago. Still top notch food. This time ate at the bar and enjoyed conversations with others there.
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. We got the Salmon, Ribeye and Shrimp and Grits entrees. The presentation was beautiful and flavors were on point — we all cleaned our plates! They have a great selection of cocktails and mocktails as well. We will definitely be back!
Great find in Boone. Nice menu. On this day we had their world famous Shrimp sand Grits as well as their brisket burger. Both were really good. Service and food very well done. Recommend.
Started out great. Food tasted good, and staff was fantastic. However, my girlfriend found a piece of plastic or glass or something in her tomato pie. She was understandably very upset.
Our waitress was great and handled the situation as well as she could, and they comped our meals. Therefore, I won't post pics of the offending object. They need to increase their quality control.
Their apology was good, and my girlfriend felt better afterwards.

Vidalia has been mine and my wife’s go-to restaurant for special occasions for more than 10 years. It’s fancy, but affordable, in a cool, relaxed atmosphere. Food is always superb, portions are satisfying, and the service is fantastic. One of Boone’s finest!
We had a great dinner here. Service was excellent and the waitress was sweet. Their beer selection needs a little help, but cocktails and wine seems to be the focus. My steak was perfectly cooked and my wife's shrimp & grits was excellent.
My wife and I visited here for our anniversary trip. I started with the onion rings and truffle fries. Both were fried goodness with a nice horseradish sauce. I had the pork toastados as the main course and they had the perfect combination of sweet with heat, yummy. Service was excellent. Highly recommended if you are in the Boone, NC area.
Walked in without a reservation because it was before the usual dining rush. We were seated promptly. Tuesday is select bottled wine night. We were delighted to have a glass with dinner. We had the bottle recorked and bagged for take away as part of the Tuesday special. The meal was excellent. I had a Korean styled rice bowl while my dinner companion had locally sourced grilled salmon. Dessert was blueberry cheesecake with whipped cream
Recommended by the Texan, super great dinner! Seated on time for 18:45 dinner. Leah (Leia?) was attentive not intrusive. Great service, stellar food. No kids menu, great foodie food.

I ate here for lunch while visiting Boone for the day. It was very nice. Enjoyed the feel of the place, service and food was good. I got the beet salad and truffle fries on the side. Delish!
We were so elated that we forgot our to-go containers. The experience was paramount, far exceeding expectations.
We originally planned to go for chicken and waffles, but we ended up with the chicken, waffles and so much more. Perfectly seared Elk medallions, crispy cronuts, a fantastic tumeric cocktail, earl grey tea and unimaginable service courtesy of our server Beatrice M.
10/10 would certainly recommend.
Stopped in for Sunday brunch, didn't have a reservation, so we were seated at the bar, our bartender/server was Lucy, she was great, the cinnamon pancakes are amazing, delicious breakfast burrito and the home fries are fantastic.
