The food was great. If you are looking for a place off the beaten path this is the place. Fresh food, great flavor, for a good price.

Great hidden seafood store with a large area used for a restaurant which has wonderful options of seafood This is definitely a North East Coast style seafood shack type taste Highly recommend it for seafood fans

We've been in Naples since mid-November and only just discovered Doug's thanks to a neighbor's recommendation. We're from New England, so we felt very much at home here. As has been said, it isn't fancy but the best seafood is found in less than fancy places. I had the New England Clam Chowder and a small lobster roll, the way it's supposed to be served; cold with a little mayo. The chowder was excellent (and yes, it contained plenty of clams) and the lobster roll ranks up there with the best I've had, including on the New England coast. The amount of meat for the price was way over my expectations. I find the negative reviews complaining that the lobster roll was served on a hot dog bun to be quite humorous. What do they expect it to be served on? I've been eating them all my life and that's how they have always been served. Amazing how people will complain when they clearly have no idea what they ordered. I wish we had found Doug's sooner but we'll be sure to go quite often next season.

As long as you go in expecting a strip mall seafood place, you won't be disappointed. In my experience the hole-in-the-wall local places have the best food regardless of cuisine, but most often with seafood. We stopped in for a light meal, and just shared a small lobster roll and fries between the two of us. WOW. Huge pieces of lobster. Absolutely delicious. Fries were cooked perfectly and would themselves merit a stop. We got some takeout lobster bisque for family which was also really tasty. The place itself was pretty.....dirty and no frills; you order food, get assigned a table in a cubicle, and the food is delivered. Totally ok with that. The food can't be beat. I can't wait to explore other menu options. 1 year later......same meal just as spectacular. So much lobster.

The employees are very friendly and polite. The food is delicious and very reasonable compared to other seafood places in the area. The dining room is clean and semi private but nothing flashy! The carry out service is great and the order was ready within 20 minutes. The fried clam platter was delicious. Update: Went there again yesterday and ordered the hot lobster rolls. I highly recommend the large one. It’s worth the price. Update: To those who claim “ it’s not as good as the previous owners” are completely wrong! I’ve been going there for years and it’s just as good as before (if not better) The service is super fast and all of the employees are extremely friendly. Face it , some people just don’t like CHANGE!
