Been here a couple of times. Staff are always friendly. The food is very good as well as fairly cheap. Will be back!

Hadn't been for 2 or 3 years ... been today and was blown away by just how good the carvery was ... everything hot and fresh, the Yorkshire puds homemade and so tasty. Large choice of lovely veggies , excellent roast potatoes. The only problem is we simply ate too much as couldnt bear to leave anything 😊

Our carvery was gorgeous today! Didn't have to wait, got served straight away. Everything was cooked to perfection, lovely array of veg and tasty, tender meat. The Yorkshires and gravy are amongst the best we've had. 4 empty plates and 4 happy, stuffed customers! Looking forward to next time...

impeccable service from the management team, if you want to be treated like family, I highly recommend the royal oak, they treated myself my wife and our dog bella wonderfully. Carvery spot on and a great pint of guiness poured perfect

Lovely place, friendly staff, great views sat outside looking over to the hills. We have visited four times so far and the carvery is always tasty but each time it is missing green veg (peas or brocolli) leeks in white sauce is the greenest they do.

Great carvery, I won't go anywhere else now. Staff are spot on, very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this carvery to anyone who wants a hot fresh carvery in a welcoming atmosphere.

Great friendly service and a delicious and reasonably priced meal. We were made very welcome with our dog who was also paid a lot of attention by lovely, friendly staff.

Was staying close by and dropped in to try the carvery, was so good I went back again a week later! Can definitely recommend, good polite and quick service, plenty of parking, nice atmosphere and not too noisy, plenty of tables and seating and food was amazing!
