This place has really good food, but I do have to take one star away for value. This place was pricey, I had to wait a really long time for my food, and there is limited seating. It was a Friday around 7pm.

You better be hungry because the portions here are big enough to share! Home cooking with a wildly expansive menu. Every meal comes with a muffin. They have options galor on sides! Get the onion rings! Meatloaf was flavorful. Things here are not over salted as they usually are. We were pleasantly surprised! Waiting in line to order wasn't my favorite and it was hard on my mom to stand with her bum hip and cane. The entrance was a bit hard to find. I would suggest they add a few handicap parking spaces. The parking in this area for all the businesses, not just this establishment, is challenging. I blame the city actually. Nice stuff about this place - they sell alcohol! Not a lot of options, but the basics. Their pies looked so good! Every condiment you can think of is at the bar. Portions were really big, we should have split two entrees between the three of us. Staff are friendly and helpful here. You order and pay up front, they call your name and you go and get it. Drinks were at the side and also self serve like the condiment bar. Except for the alcohol. We spilled a whole glass of water and they swooped in and got it cleaned up for us in seconds. So nice. There is a separate dining room beyond the first area you enter. They also have artwork on the walls for sale. We felt it was clean and the seating was comfortable too. This place was just what these weary travelers needed!

Some of the best comfort food in the greater San Antonio area. The meatloaf is excellent. I only take off a star because I've been treated less-than-ideally by the staff on a couple of occasions.

This was my first time here and I ordered the liver and onions...OH-EM-GEEE! I hadn't had this dish in years. Did not disappoint. Thank you!

I was genuinely surprised - what a great find this little restaurant was! Everyone was extremely friendly, the food was amazing, the menu was varied enough that there was something for everyone to leave feeling full, and the pricing was very reasonable. Comfortable, down-home food in a friendly, bright, very casual setting. I live in San Antonio, but will definitely be making a trip back here again!

They have a large variety of food. Including some great looking desserts. I would have loved to had coleslaw but it is not on their menu. I have a lot of diet restrictions so this place is ok for me but it is not a place I would frequent. The staff is super friendly and it was not very crowded. It was one of the few places that was still open later in town so that is why I went there. It is very popular with the locals and is well established. If you want a traditional American meal then you will like this place.

I have been eating here for close to 20 years. My food has always been consistent, always been delicious, and I have never had a complaint or bad experience!
