Pine Grove Restaurant

Old fashioned hearty comfort food cooking. Much like delicious Southern cooking in the 1950s. Very good! Portions are large; for example, breakfast is an all-day breakfast! Their recent re-opening enabled their refocus on a basic, down-to-earth, but still very good, all American menu. Portions are still generous. The location is very pleasant, up on the mountain in Pine Grove village, along old Rt. 7 (the two-lane road traveled between Alexandria and Winchester before construction of the modern four-lane). Family friendly. Service was attentive and responsive. Pricing easily affordable, low to medium. There is plenty of parking right out front. Recommended!

It's like stepping into your grandma's kitchen! Large portions, small price, delicious. Locally sourced, wholesome country food. Everything is cooked fresh from scratch, made to order. They just renovated with new booths, tables, floors and other upgrades, with the same charm as always. Give it a try, you'll become a regular - Breakfast all day =)

Nice food at a small place! The homemade atmosphere and food are great! Now, understand that it's not a fine dining experience, but it's exactly what it looks like, and that means comfort. It's nice that a small place like this exist in such an area, given the small population. Give them a try if you have the time! Location is convenient to the AT route nearby, but this place can be tough to find if you aren't looking for it! =)

I love how folks that didn’t eat here are giving lower reviews based on conservative political signage. I’m Middle Eastern, my family and I ate here, and we loved it. The service was great, they only had a few people working, it is a smaller diner out in the country, but that didn’t impact service. Food was out within 15 minutes and fresh, with generous portions. My kids couldn’t even finish the giant pancake they got. As for the food for us, portions were great and taste was on point. We’re glad we found a gem in the country and will definitely be back. They treated us like family and our kids loved it. As for those putting lower star reviews based on political signage, grow up. Everywhere you go has people from all walks of life, different political leanings, and writing them off based on your own assumptions makes you the problem. Go and experience it for yourself and base your judgment off of that. If you’ve had bad experiences at other places, doesn’t mean this one will be the same. Would recommend you go back and check this gem out. Great people and great food.

We found the restaurant using Google search and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. Our waitress was very good. The food was delicious. You really have to try the onion rings, they were amazing!! They also serve breakfast all day,, whichy husband enjoyed.. We can't wait to go back.
