We had a very pleasant dining experience at Blue Ridge Brewery. Blue Ridge Brewery offers an upscale environment in terms of atmosphere along with a wide variety of things to eat and drink from the menu. But don't let the brewery part fool you. This is not your typical beer and hot dog joint. The menu is eclectic and even a bit sophisticated. Blue Ridge Brewery boasts wide variety of beers both on tap and bottled. Determined to have something local, I went for their Belgian tripel and needless to say, it did NOT disappoint. My wife had the Tank 7 Farm House Ale (Saisson), which she wasn't crazy about, but I enjoyed (after all finishing my wife's drinks when she doesn't like them is one of my many duties as husband). We sampled the Sergeyevna Stout as well and while I really enjoyed it, my wife didn't like it enough to order it. Guess I'll have to try that one next time we visit. At any rate, I find it hard to believe that there's a beer on tap that we'd be disappointed with based on what we tried. I will say that I was amazed as to how many different craft beers Blue Ridge Brewery has to offer - not many places carry a Trappist Ale, for example. We had our two teenagers with us and all of us ordered burgers. The meat was tasty and very flavorful. Unfortunately, Blue Ridge Brewery is so upscale that they don't offer something as basic as french fries with their burgers, which was kind of a bummer for us. Having said that, we all ordered sides of the roasted potatoes, which were excellent as were the salads that we had. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. You can sit at the bar if you choose (no kids under 21, sorry) and there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Since it was a nice day outside, we sat outdoors and had a great time. I can imagine a band or acoustic guitar player performing out back on a Friday that would make the dining experience even better. The bottom line is that if you're looking for good beer and a good burger, don't pass this place up. We hope to be back the next time we're in town.

Good local beer served with decent local food. The ambience is pretty cool with nice music. They have a tv with all the local beers and outside seating for when it’s warm. Service was nice and friendly. Would definite come back again.

One of our favorites in Blue Ridge!!Awesome menu both food and beer. Unique and comfortable atmosphere. We always have a great time when we visit the brew. Saturday night they had live entertainment which i would plan on going to. All around great place. Also met the owners and had dinner at black sheep the night before. We couldn't have asked for a better birthday dinner with my fiancee and family!!

An update. Nice now! I am pleased to announce that Blue Ridge Brewery has found it's soul again. A diverse bar staff, a male now, possibly an LGTBQ and maybe soon a person of color. I love this place,. I just could not stand the previous inattentiveness. Let's see how it goes. 5 stats for today! Actually for an age this was my favorite place north of Atlanta. I hope the improvements continue. I will leave my non flaterning review below for awhile still to make sure improvements are permanent. This is my last visit  here.  If you are looking for service avoid this place.  I never give negative reviews and this is my first.  This place is the definition of Absent Owner.  The employees go out of their  way to make sure their personal Starbucks coffee is not cold while forceing customers at the bar counter to sit and watch them talk and gossip  all the while ignoring the customers  waiting for anything that resembles service.  Hey I am 5 feet away looking at you.  They go out of their way to ignore you.  Even a Hello would be appreciated.  No they walk around talking and drinking coffee and knowing they are ignoring you. If you are looking for the definition of ridiculous come here. I will leave my prior reviews below.  It was ok once.  There are many other choices in Blue Ridge, please look around, your money is wasted here. Ok often.  Started in 2013.  Originally the service and atmosphere where awesome.  The place took a big downturn in service.  I continue to visit and hope for an improvement.  Today July 15 2017 service seems to be back.  Quick and friendly.  I will continue to check them out to make sure.  One weird thing is the seem to dislike male servers at the bar.  Sexism in any way should be looked down on.  So hey thrown in a male for your 100% female bar staff.  Also the bar use to have a comfortable feel.  The addition of the TV size menu screens are annoying and unnecessary. .

Their Hopapotamus IPA was amazing! Only wished they bottle, canned or sold growlers! Other than that, a recommended place to stop in for a bite and a cold pint!

The staff was welcoming. It felt like such a small town brewery where everyone knew everyone.the atmosphere was fun. I also enjoyed the live band and the duck nachos were super! They have allot of beer from other local breweries and I believe some other craft beer that isn't so local. This is definitely a great place to stop in.

I went from about 5-630 on a Thursday. The atmosphere was nice, and the piped in music was a good volume and they played decent music. I had a flight of guest brews and they were all good, the cider was a little tart but still good. The burger was awesome, but the potatoes, though well seasoned, tasted as if they had sat for a bit. Not terrible but not fresh. The bartender was friendly, attentive and helpful. Overall, I liked it. I imagine they have a bigger crowd on weekends and when there is live music. When I went back a year later I had a pretty positive experience, enjoyed the food and my beer with the family.
