Mike's Trackside Bbq

Y’all. Y’all! Holy cow, this place has some delicious BBQ. My wife and I ordered pulled pork sandwiches to go. I had baked beans, and she had the Mt. Dew stewed apples as a side. The pork had the perfect amount of smoke flavor. The baked beans were extraordinary. Wife loved the stewed apples. We like to visit the area, and are certainly compiling our list of favorite places to eat. This one’s a keeper!

Mike's is a little BBQ joint right off of 1st street, if you're on your way to all of the shopping that Blue Ridge has to offer. Be advised that the place is small, but that's not a bad thing at all. The atmosphere is fairly rustic, which is appropriate considering the food that they serve. I applaud Mike for the brisket as it's probably the best that I've had in the Blue Ridge/Ellijay area. It certainly has the best smoke flavor that I've tasted in this area. The meat had a decent smoke ring, but the center was also pink, as in pink like a medium-cooked steak. . I smoke my own brisket frequently and have never encountered this before, but it's not a complaint. The side of cinnamon apples that I had were delicious as were the beans. The restaurant is so small that it seems difficult to social distance during the pandemic. Unfortunately, none of the staff seemed be masking up, which was disappointing but in the week that I've been in Blue Ridge, it's been consistent with most of the places that I've eaten at. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

We ate here during our stay in Blue Ridge and it was absolutely awesome food. Great staff and the smell of the smoke was just amazing. My son absolutely loved the Mac and Cheese and they even gave him another helping free of charge. We will definitely be returning when we come back in August for our vacation.

We stopped by for lunch - it was excellent!!! I had the chicken sandwich and pinto beans. Best pinto beans I have ever had! My husband had the brisket, baked bean, and slaw - it’s his new fave place. The slaw is homemade and amazing - the lady working (who was very nice) said it’s her mother’s receipt. We will definitely be back!!! I can’t wait to try the slaw dog!

Ate here for the first time today! Fantastic! We had the chicken sandwich /slaw and the Rocket Dog. It was truly THE best chicken I think I've ever had! Juicy, tender, and even without BBQ sauce - deliciously flavored. The Rocket Dog was great too, with a heaping helping of chili. We ate outside, but they have a nice inside dining area as well. Mark - our server - was very friendly and helpful. If you want a great BBQ meal in a friendly and comfortable place, avoid the main drag in Blue Ridge and go one block over to 1st street. Well worth it!

The natural aroma of the pork drifts into one's nostrils and makes you dream of simpler times. The delicious food will tug at your taste buds. The ambiance reminds one of a quaint family restaurant. The most enjoyable aspect of our meal was the amazing hospitality. Highly recommended and so delicious!
