Six Pence Pub - Blowing Rock - Photo album

Cute little pub in the heart of Blowing Rock. We came here on a Sunday afternoon in the peak of the fall tourist season. Everywhere was packed. I fully expected an hour wait or more. We were seated immediately. The service was good for how busy they were. The food was good too. It was typical Britis
Good visit. wanted to try the broccoli cheese bites, but they didn't have them. My husband got the fish and chips said it was good. I got the Ploughmans lunch it was very good. Great piece of cheddar and the French onion soup was good too. The side of coleslaw was a bit tart. Overall still pleased w
Food is really good, so is the service. For our latest visit, there was a wait time for us to get a table which was worth the wait. The place is very lively and noisy but I love that. A very positive energy to the place. I also loved our widow side seating and the view. We visit the place whenever w
Had a nice time here. Service was friendly and prompt. One of their signature beers, Harp, was out of stock as was the broccoli and cheese appetizer which they blamed both on supply chain problems. Our two dinners came out after the table of four that sat next to us 20 minutes later and they claimed
Six Pence Pub is an excellent pub and restaurant. Our waitress Lawson was excellent and couldn’t do more. Had my Smithwick’s and Bangers and Mashed and it was wonderful. Enjoy! Save room for dessert
I will alway stop at an Irish Pub and restaurant, hard to find British faire. Stopped by with the family after some hiking and was impressed. Front door was open to bring in cool air, the smell from the kitchen was in the air and beer/wine glasses were heard. Very good food, staff were friendly as c
A slice of Brittain in Downtown Blowing Rock... Tried the traditional Scotch Eggs and Fish and Chips... The Fish and Chips were simply outstanding... Wait times in peak season can be long, so reservations are recommended!
Good atmosphere and enjoyable outside seating. Variety of British fare and large portions. Great options for cultural beer and drinks, but scotch prices are highly elevated. Our server, Sam, was great. Very attentive and helpful with the menu.
This was the second time we ate here. We came last year for the games. Food was.better last year. Atmosphere always nice. Scotch eggs were great.
A great place where we ate the daily specialty dish, and it was quite delicious. I'll leave a photo of the dish. It's pet-friendly in the outdoor seating area and located in the center of town - a pleasant spot to stop for a meal and continue walking a bit.
