Walked in after driving around for a while trying to decide what to eat and thought I’d try this place out. SOOOO GOOD! First, the staff is super friendly and professional. Feels like Denver in this place. Food is surprisingly good. Sandwiches are pretty hardy, two people could split one meal. It’s all real healthy too, like they actually use real food. Like I said feels like Denver.
So Function always has some solid brews some of the usual suspects and then rotates some more limited stuff. Never had a bad beer yet. On a scale of 1-5* their beer usually seings between 3.5-4.25 on my Untapped ratings. So consistently well above average. Where this Brewery really stands out from
Be warned that if you've enjoyed Function in the past but have not visited in the past 6 months, it is now a shell of what it used to be. There have been many changes since new owners took over, including the removal of many math-themed beer names and taking away many of the vegan options previousl
RIP to the best sandwich menu in town. Function had the most unique food and beer around. Sad to see it be bought out by someone uninterested in keeping the unique and quality atmosphere, food, and beer that was so lovingly crafted by the previous owners.
Very unique selection of beers that offers something for everyone. From classic styles to New England IPAs, heavily fruited milkshake IPAs, tea infused beers, chili pepper infused beers and more. Always excited to see what they will do next. The soups and sandwiches are also very good!

Inviting place with good food and beer. As with any place in downtown Bloomington, needing to park can be a problem. Nice selection of brews, across various styles, not the hop-centric craziness too many breweries churn out. Scalar smoked amber was the surprise standout on tap. (Out of Duplicity) Ch
