Where do I start? Hard to pick a favorite item here, start off with either the Saganaki or Cheesepa'rer - makes my mouth water just typing this. Then I recommend the Gyros or if you're really hungry the Super G, not a fan of lamb? Try the Chicken Gyros. I also highly recommend their breaded tenderloins and patty melt if your looking for a more American sandwich. You can get the fries but you'll regret not getting the onion rings - freshly dipped in a beer batter like no other. Make sure to leave room for their Baklava - you will understand why they refer to it as the nectar of the Gods! Service is fast and prices are very reasonable. Enjoy, I'm sure I might see you there.
Cool atmosphere, we sat at the bar (partially because it was a super busy Sat night) and the 2 bartenders took such good care of us - the didn't hover, but they were super attentive and entertaining.
We got the prime rib (melt in your mouth) and per their suggestion the duck breast. SUBLIME!!!
If or when we come back to Bloomington, we will go back, more than worth the money!!
Always excellent. I have an "old School Card" and get a discount on every visit. Best gyros are the best around and the spinach portabella salad is just fantastic. Local brews on tap.
Came in from out of town and was not upset with or choice! We loved the gyros! Price was on point! Great beer selection too! Will be back.
Have loved this place for 30 years now! Always a must-stop when in B-town
Love the food. Especially Chicken Gyro's. The hummus is awesome and their baklava ice cream is to die!!
Delicious food. Friendly staff. They opened the doors a bit early so we didn't have to stand in the rain!!!
The service was awesome and the food was excellent. Highly recommended
It's a very nice place and the staff is very friendly. Drinks are top notch. Specially the Adults-OnlyĀ Baklava Milkshake. Gyros Dinner is mediocre. The combination is so and so. The side salad was great. So took away one star. Sandwiches looks good. Didn't taste them unfortunately. It's a busy location. So best to make a reservation before turning up with a larger group.
I've been a T.H. customer for 45 years.
They are still serving great food after all these years. For a truly delicious gyro, this IS the placeš. Enjoy!
Trojan Horse is a great place to grab lunch in downtown Bloomington. We started with the hummus. It was tasty and the pitas it was served with were warm. The Gyro was great! Very flavorful but I wish the feta was a bit more crumbled I got but chunks that overpowered the rest of the contents in some of the bites. Overall the lunch was great! Will definitely be back.
Ordered Super Gyro and mixed (fried) vegetables.
Amazing as always.
I am not a picky eater but I think the gyros were a little bit extra salty. However, I liked it. I also liked the tzatziki and the service was great. This is definitely one of the locations to stop by when visiting Bloomington.
Excellent food as always. Prepared and ready to go fresh, even when we were cutting it a little close to closing time for take out. Thankful for this fantastic Bloomington institution!
Wow! That was good. Big portions at great prices. Traditional Greek fare. Today, 3-4-20, they had a special; app, two mains, and desert for $30. We ordered two of their samplers which included Greek salad, hummus, flaming cheese dish?, dolmas, spanakopita, tabouli, moussaka, gyros, souvlaki, falafel, and baklava. We couldn't finish it all. Soooooo goood!
