Italia Pizza

I have been coming to this pizza place for a while and they have the best pizza in Bloomfield without a doubt. The reason I write this review is because Benny has been one of the friendliest and hardest working individuals I have met. He makes great food, the best pizza in Bloomfield, and he is doing it single-handedly. He is a great person to have in the community and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves.

I started coming to this pizzeria about 10 yrs ago. This was the best place if you wanted a great teasting slice or an amazing salad with the works 😍😍🤩🤩🤤this is just 2 of my favorite but garlic knots 🤤🤤 everything is freshly done in house an by only one person the ower..Sorry don't know his name 😂. But if you ever want a great slice and a salad and your in the Bloomfield, Nj area go check it out it will definitely be worth your while .....Bon appétit !

Perhaps the most delicious pizza my family has had the pleasure of enjoying in Bloomfield. The owner, a giant of a man (to which my wife calls the place now "Giant's pizza"), was incredibly kind and patient despite the busyness of the establishment. We went during COVID and winter, so people were spaced apart (great 👍) and there was no outdoor seating (to be expected). To judge a pizza place, we always start with their plain pizza. Sure there are many places that make amazing variations of pizza, but if they can't make a simple plain, it's not worth our time to try anything else there. Fortunately for our family, "Italia Pizza" understood the basics. The pizza wasn't too oily, with the crust not too thick, and just enough cheese that completed the package for us. To our standards "Italia Pizza" and we got to enjoy a pepperoni pizza next without fear of disappointment, all at a reasonable price.

The best pizza I have eaten in New Jersey. The owner is very kind and polite. Unfortunately, I refuse to eat or order any food there again. One September 2021 afternoon I walked in and ordered a pizza pie. I placed my order to take out all the while aimlessly watching nothing in particular, and low and behold my eyes diverted up to the ceiling fan! The filth around the fan is appalling and shameful!!! What’s even worse was that the owner had the dough in his hand without gloves and wasn’t wearing a mask! The tables are dirty ( you can feel the grit just by a gentle touch of your finger). I can only imagine the kitchen area and the bathroom. He works alone but that is no excuse to clean your ceiling fans and tables every day frequently throughout the day. I hope he reads this without being offended and take this as a learning process. Pandemic or not, every eatery should be extremely clean. It shows respect for our patrons.

I've been coming to Italias since I was a little girl and the owner Benny knows all of my family. My son is growing up on his food. He has the best Italian food in Bloomfield and in Essex County in general. I've tried a lot of different Italian restaurants but my heart is at Italias. He may be working by himself but he always makes sure to put care and time into his food for each and every one of his customers. So anyone visiting Italias have patience with Benny because you won't be disappointed.
