We enjoyed a ladies night holiday celebration dinner at Nevada Dinner during my visit home. Two ordered the Greek salad with extra pita bread, eggs Benedict Florentine, and a shrimp and avocado wrap. I had half if the Greek salad and half if the wrap. We split the peanut cheesecake and decaf coffe for dessert. It was delicious ! The diner had wonderful holiday decorations and has reliable food and service !

Our waitress was very personable and checked in on us frequently. They were good with my food allergies. We went for dinner but got all day breakfast. I got a make your own egg white omelette with spinach, mushroom, broccoli and lox + sliced banana + rye toast. He got pancakes and crispy bacon. Our food was good, the bacon was actually crispy. My eggs were a very large portion, we both had leftovers. We also split the fruity pebbles cheesecake (it looked pretty but was too sweet for both of our liking, I'd try a different one next time). Good experience, good diner.

I visited Nevada last Thursday and really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. My server was very friendly and the food was tasty. I would like to say that it's extremely important to follow good hygiene now. Getting vaccinated is a personal choice but in instances where there are multiple people, such as in a restaurant, the risk of getting sick is much higher. I haven't dined inside for a while and decided to that day. Overall, the restaurant is trying to accommodate people during the pandemic.

This was my third time visiting. The first two experiences were great. The service was great and the food was good. What you would expect from a diner. However, my last experience was not so great. I visited with one of my older friends. She had a little trouble reading the menu and asked questions which seemed to frustrate our waiter because at one point he sucked his teeth and rolled his eye. It was not crowded and we were not keeping him from anyone, but he was very inpatient with us. We ordered Shirley Temples and the soda was flat- the sprite filter needed to be changed. We explained that and he insisted that it was fine... it was what we ordered. Eventually he took them back and a few minutes later gave us new drinks that tasted the way they should. The filter did need replacing.

I love this place!! Hubby and I visit at least a few times a year. The food is always very fresh and delicious. We love how the menu has lots of breakfast, lunch and dessert options. I don't eat meat so I especially love that they have ample meatless choices on their menu.

We tried the Nevada Diner on a Saturday evening when we couldn't get a walk-in seat at out first choice, the Bloomfield Steakhouse. The Nevada dinner menu had both steak and seafood, and they have a liquor license! We ordered ribeye, jambalaya, salad, and martinis. We hoped it could work out. It didn't! But it wasn't a total disaster. First, the good point: the ribeye steak was quality meat; it was cooked excellently and served with excellent fries. That is one point to their credit. The heart of the matter with the Nevada, however, is their lack of concern for their clients and basic authenticity. No one there from the waiter to the bartender to the chef cares in the least to provide their clients with the experience they are paying for, and no one has the mental wearwithal to check the internet and make the food authentic. Example one, the shrimp and chorisos jambalaya! The dish is supposed to combine the flavors of sofrito, rice, and various meats. The operative word is combine and its done by cooking things together. In this case the chef placed grilled shrimp on top of the jambalaya, it was not cooked with the dish. It had no flavor. It wasn't infused with the flavor of either the sofrito or chorisos. CHECK THE INTERNET TO SEE HOW THE DISH SHOULD BE COOKED. Example two, the bartender. We made the mistake of ordering drinks, a martini. It was a simple request, a Beefeater Martini straight up with an olive. The waiter had no idea what we asked for. Someone else came over and I explained the drink request. He seemed to understand. What came was in a cactus shaped margarita glass with some gin and olives and more vermouth than even a sweet martini requires. CHECK THE INTERNET TO SEE HOW A MARTINI IS MADE AND WHAT BEEFEATER GIN IS. And finally, and the garden salad was a deep and abiding insult to my garden and anyone else's. CHECK THE INTERNET FOR "GARDEN SALAD". I know we should have tried more traditional diner food. I may go back and try their Ruben. (I saw one someone else ordered and it looked great.) My advice is not to try anything at the Nevada that might be a "reach". As for the management, just check the internet when you're not aure how to make something.

Been here a few times over the last few years and I’ve never had a bad experience, the food is great, and I always want to come back. This time we just came for coffee and a slice of very good Tres Leches cake. Although we can always recommend their wings and waffle fries!
