This is the restaurant attached to the Blaine U.S. Olympic Training curling ice arena, 2-rink hockey arena. It's an amazing place, you don't have to worry about air conditioning. I mean there must be a million cubic feet of ice. Food was pretty good, the view from the bar of the Curling Arena, I guess you'd call it, made for an interesting show as teams competed and practiced. They have poutine. Don't know what that is? If you like french fries, gravy and cheese curds, you should look it up. I took a picture of it, as well as the deep fried pickles which are definitely a worthy addition. Very family-friendly, easy to get to, hard to find the first time. Doesn't look like a restaurant until you get close which is probably it's only fault. Ample outdoor seating, indoor seating and bar seating, with a full bar. We conducted our social monthly Lions Club meeting for the Spring Lake Park Lions Club. It was pleasant not too loud, and yes they do have an event room for private events.
Good service. Food is okay, but nothing spectacular. Nice views of the curling area. Located next to the hockey rinks. Decent tap beer selection. Prices are in line with what you'd expect to pay at any other grill/bar restaurant.
Definitely a 4 star experience. The food was good and it was fun watching curling. This weekend, I'm not going to be telling people stories about it and raving about it, but it was good and I especially appreciate that they are open late. I highly recommend the pretzel.
Frequent this spot 1-2 times a week during hockey season while my son has practice, Staff is great besides one waitress but I just avoid her section if possible. Food is pretty good and prices right. Cocktails are strong and beer selection is great and beer is as cold as can be without it being frozen!
