Unfortunately the house was closed for tours the day we stopped by due to employees needing to monitor parking for the football game. But the very kind lady who saw me peeking forlornly through the window graciously opened the door and showed us some photos of the place and told us a little about the house's history. Her affection for the place was palpable, and I can't wait to come back to tour the place properly. It's simply gorgeous on the outside, and from what I could see of the interior it too was beautiful.

Home place of Alexander Black, Founder of Blacksburg. For many years, a very fine Funeral Home, and center of Blacksburg Society - Yes, we do have Old Society, still here!

It’s now our “Haunted House”, but in reality, the home is an important Landmark of Blacksburg History. Don’t be in such a rush, so as to take in the sights!😎All contacts must go through my Attorney.
