The Trailhead - Black Mountain - Photo album

After dining at Trailhead last year we made sure to stop in again. Ever bit as pleased as before. One of the best burgers you can get.. anywhere! Worth the wait. Their other food we saw them serve looked amazing as well.
Great local spot! The bar area reminded me of one of my favorite rock climbing gyms back home. I was expecting typical pub fare so I was in for a surprise! These salmon cakes (Lover's Leap) blew my mind! I'd definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.
Pleasant downtown restaurant with an extensive and diverse menu. Full bar & variety of seating options, including patio seating. Staff were friendly, but service was fairly slow. It took me quite a while to get a refill of my Coke at lunch time. They seemed to be short staffed, as there were severa
Locals eat here year round! Customer service is always fantastic. Best burger and hand cut fries in WNC. Plenty of great food options as well as cold beer. Highly recommended
Precious restaurant in black mountain with lovely outdoor seating. Dog friendly as well! We ordered delicious burgers with their apple cider cocktail special and pumpkin ale. Delicious! Staff was very friendly as well. Would definitely come back!
Ordered the fish and chips at our waitresses' suggestion. The food arrived fast, hot, and tasted out of this world. Crispy breaded fresh fish, homemade tarter sauce, and fresh cut fries. Yum. It was very loud in the restaurant and warm inside. But the food was so great and host and waitress we
Trailhead has a lot of your tradition favorites along with their own artistic additions that will tantilate your taste buds. I had the Catawba Falls consisting of grilled trout over kale with pickled onion, shredded carrot, goat cheese and topped with three slices of lemon. Next time I'll have it w
Absolutely wonderful experience! Awesome food! Awesome atmosphere (love thier music selection) ! Awesome service! Awesome prices! We will be making this a must stop place when we travel through town. Definitely worth a detour. ❤️❤️❤️
Went here to eat a burger after hiking for the day. The burger was great and waitress was very nice, tried the corn pudding and it was slightly sweet and a bit crunchy—very good! The burger patties are thick and filling. Inside was a bit but good spot to eat!
The food was unique and flavorful. My salmon burger had a lot going on but it came together well and it was healthy. The nachos were the same thing. My wife loved her salad
This restaurant was so good that we went to it twice in 2 weeks! The food was very tasty upscale bar food. Ingredients seemed very fresh and our party of 9 was served in a friendly efficient way and everyone was happy with their food!
Always fantastic food and service. We arrived later in the evening tonight and weren't rushed out. We've ordered takeout plenty and dined in plenty of times before and there's never been an issue. We have a vegan family member and have ordered vegan many times in the past and they always accommodat
The Trailhead is located in the heart of Black Mountain. It’s a great spot for lunch, drinks, dinner or all of the above. We’ve visited twice and ordered different things. Their burgers are solid. The Trailblazer includes Bacon while the Standard does not. The best thing we ordered were the PEI Muss
Great place to stop in for some really good food. We grabbed a to-go order while enjoying a cold brew. Bartender was the nicest, most efficient I've had the pleasure to meet! Place was a bit more crowded than usual for a Monday, but I guess... leaves. Trailhead burger was very good and the nachos we
Trailhead is a great place to stop by if you're looking for somewhere chill, with great service and good food. I don't dine alone often but when I'm on trips by myself I kind of have to. The server, Jade, made me feel so welcome and comfortable even with how busy she was with her other tables. There
Portobello Sandwich was excellent bderful! The taco special was great! Fast and friendly service.
Excellent food with reasonable prices. The servings are very generous. Try the onion rings and a craft beer. I recommend you dine early to avoid a long wait. We visited on a Thursday evening and the wait for a table for three was 30 minutes. The service was excellent, but the servers were overworke
Laid back atmosphere. Nice music. Food was okay, not super special but affordable. The steak and trout was the best out of our meals. A bit too much kale but mostly well cooked. The wings were a little disappointing but we still ate most of them. Our waitress Clair B. was very professional, friendly
Great food! Great service and hometown atmosphere! I ❤️BMT and the Trailhead! We definitely will be back! We sampled the delicious burgers, fresh salads, and yummy fish & chips!! The ranch dressing is 2D4!! The onion rings are a must try next time!!
