Love this place. My partner and I visited from Seattle, where we have excellent coffee. This coffee rivaled some of my Seattle favorites! Rich, hot drip coffee perfect for a mountain morning. Try the cream, it’s fantastic. On top of that, it’s clearly a community hot spot where you’ll see people chatting and starting their day off right. Definitely don’t miss this spot if you’re in the area!
Whenever I am in the area, I make sure to stop at "The Drip" for coffee and viewing of the locals :-) This place has been around for a while and seems to be a hub for activity. While they do have free wifi and a decent amount of work space, most of the time it's pretty crowded so there is much table hawking at all times. Pretty much everything they serve is locally sourced and free-trade, the staff are friendly, and again, local vibe.
The downside, besides work space availability, is that when it gets crowded, getting your order often take a while. Not a reason not to come, but St. Arbuck's this is not.
Def worth stopping by and my personal favorite, Iced "Killer Bee" — latte infused with honey and cinnamon.
My family and I were looking for random place to have a good coffee and a bite to eat before heading back home after a weekend in the Black Mountain.
When I first looked at this place from the outside and reading other reviews, I knew I was in for some really special coffee. What I was not expecting was how incredible the rest of the experience it was going to be.
Coffee & Food - truly as good as everyone raves about it! I had one of the best Butter Coffees I have ever had. As for the food, I only had an almond croissant, but if that's the standard they set for their food, then it's quite a high standard.
Staff - great and friendly, even in the midst of a crazy rush for breakfast! With just a couple of items missing from my order, for which I had to go back to the counter, having to cut through the river of people lining up to the cashier. They were very quick to apologize and to give me the missing items.
Atmosphere - trendy, but not over the top. A good combo of different generational decoration trends, which I don't know how, but worked very well together. No annoying background music. Also, very nice quality merch if you're into that type of thing.
Final verdict - A top 5 coffee shop on my list. Would I recommend it? 100%
Cute spot at the heart off Black Mountain. A big majority of businesses were closed today (Tuesday) and this coffee shop was opened. It has a good selection of baked goods, coffee and drinks. The place has plenty of comfortable tables and lounging chairs. There were a fair amount of people working and having meetings. We didn't have to wait long for our coffees. They offer vegan and vegetarian options.
Searched for a coffee shop on our way back home to Rabun Gap, GA.
First time in & all I can say is the Vanilla Latte we ordered is absolutely delicious!! 🙂 Great flavor, love the 4 shots!
Also, super kind & friendly person who took our order, wish I could’ve gotten their name, I appreciate the great customer service! 👍🏽 Keep it up.
Dripolator was a nice find during our recent travel. Vibe at the place is happy and happening. Ambience is vibrant. Coffee is flavoursome, fragrant and deeply rich in taste. Outside sitting is also available. Barista was awesome and served with such happy smile. Beautiful place to make your day. Will go in a beat if will get a chance again.
I absolutely love this coffee shop! We went here every single day while we were visiting. The staff was always friendly and welcoming. Their specialty coffees are soooo amazing and the smoothies are phenomenal too. My kids love their hot chocolates and the baked goods, omg incredible!!!! The cinnamon rolls and croissants are so amazing. The gf pumpkin muffins are the best I've ever had!!! Best coffee shop everrrr.
Service was fast. There are plenty of solid options. The coffee has a dynamic well developed taste. Be careful if you order the barista's choice. They can come up with some stuff that tastes like soap. The seating area becomes cramped quickly. Overall I would certainly recommend it.
The staff is very friendly, and the cappuccino and drip coffee are good here
This coffee shop has a nice atmosphere / ambiance and is a coffee shop worth visiting / stopping by for coffee
Salted caramel latte delicious, lemon pound cake destroyed it, decor was cozy and cute, and the atmosphere and customer service was a 10 out of 10. 😊 I will definitely be back again.
TLDR: Delicious cappuccino, super friendly and accommodating staff, welcoming, and contentious place.
Black Mountain is low on the list of places I would go while hunting for good coffee. But I found it here anyway! They use local grass fed milk, do t print receipts (“saving the planet one receipt at a time”), and seem just to be super lovely people.
The cappuccino was great traditional size. Barista offered to make it a double and while it was pretty strong, the amazing milk and milk texture was really balancing. Not disappointed at all!
This is my first coffee in Black Mountain, I’m not sure why I would go anywhere else.
Went to edit some photos and ordered a hot barista’s choice. Turned out to be a lovely vanilla & rose latte, neither of the flavors overpowered the other and it turned out very pleasant.
