Review La Perla Nayarita - Birmingham

Our visit here was amazing, our plates was not plate they was Platters, the paella, seafood Platters was excellent, next time we going there we will only one of these plates, This place is a must try,you will not be disappointed. Our waiter name was Rafael, very nice and attractive.

Weird experience, won't be back. Service was fine, food was good. A bit shocked that the sangria, which did come in a large frosty mug and was tasty, was $12. The strange thing is that when I paid with my credit card it came short by $2.70🤔. In my experience the charge either clears or is denied so this was def weird and rather alarming. I immediately checked my bank account via app and confirmed that there was indeed thousands more than required to buy my meal in it. I then asked the employee how this happens and he said sometimes it just charges what it can and the rest has to be settled up otherwise. I told him there is more than enough in my account to cover the cost of my meal and he rolled his eyes at me😳. I paid the $2.70 in cash and also left a more than appropriate cash tip. Whoever is running this place needs to ensure that your credit readers are working correctly and instruct your staff on polite customer interaction. The only reason I came here is because I recently moved into the area and this place caught my eye. I mentioned giving the place a try to my friends but they seemed skeptical....we won't be going here ever.

Great food, great drinks, kareoke and raffles. A bit on the pricey side but worth the money. Staff is amazing!

Authentic Mexican cuisine. Appreciated the cerviche tostada as an appetizer. Ordered Camarones al Gusto, fried Fish with Perla and Diabla Garlic sauce and, last but not least the Steak Quesadilla. The portions are generous. With every bite you can taste the authenticity of the region in Mexico. Even the frijoles (beans) are delicious. The restaurant is filled with large screen TV's of soccer games and the mariachi bands compliment the atmosphere. Overall great dining experience.

I visited La Perla Nayarita for lunch. Very authentic and caters to their authenticity. The wait to be seated was very short. They weren't busy at all. Service was good. My waitress, though she didn't tell me her name, was very attentive. I ordered steak fajitas. It was good. Less onions and more peppers would have made it great. Would I go back? Sure! Would love to try a margarita.

Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to traveling. Live music food cooked to perfection, service and atmosphere top notch.

I like the food I also like how the way the waitress treat us they treat us with kindness and they always ask you do you want anything or do you need anything I absolutely love them so much and the food I love the food all the food that I have ate I will totally recommend people to come here and eat...

The food was good. But they forgot two of our meals and had to go cook it. Everyone else was done eating by the time the other two came out. They sat hot food down in front of my infant who immediately stuck her hands in it. We had to walk to the kitchen area to ask again for a refill on our drink and silver ware because they forgot both times we asked before. And the band was good but ear piercing loud. Probably won't return or just get our food to go. Good food. But bad service.

This place has incredible seafood and good prices. Don't go here looking for tacos, but get the snapper.

Had lunch today with my and grandson..service was awesome and the food was delicious... next time I am in town will be sure to bring my husband to eat some seafood....great place.

It's my second time, the food is delicious and the service is superb. Great atmosphere, very reasonable prices and incredibly big meals. Their staff take the time to explain the menu as well.

Fantastic food. Wonderful service. We love to come eat at La Perla. Everyone should try the pineapple crema.
