Review Village Brasserie - Birmingham

WONDERFUL! They had several things in stock that I’ve only ever been able to order online including speciality formulas(goat milk or pea protein) for my children. We even found some fun things we will be back for another trip. The store was fully and nicely stocked and clean and all the staff I encountered were extremely friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back. Would also LOVE a location to be on 280 in the Talladega/Coosa/Tallapoosa counties area

Great Whole Foods Store, right off the highway and always with plenty of parking. Big wine department for a store of this size. Great organic wine selection with my favorite Stellar Organics wines.

Great..wanted a particular brand of coffee..they were out..said to come back couple days later...I did, but coffee was not there yet..manager said..he was sorry..and to come back Thursday..and he said...ITS ON ME!. So nice...I will have my coffee next week..on him...nice clean store..helpful stockers..and the food bar was good..just what I needed...veggies...rice...and chicken...I'm headed towards no more meat for some reason...this is where I will go to get my weekly lunches...

Excellent. I really like their produce and meats. Whole Foods is my favorite supermarket. Huge store filled with high quality items. Update 04/08/22 I still love this store. I went in yesterday and the butcher was so helpful and friendly. The cashier was polite and friendly. Groceries were bagged with care.

Can tell it's an Amazon operation. Very cut and dried. 6 self-checkouts. Six. One register staffed with people. Minimum staff on floor. No one acknowledged me. Hot food bar was okay. I'd use it again. Depends on what matters to you.

Nice and clean store! I don’t frequent Whole Foods very often, but when I do it’s a good experience at this location. The Amazon Lockers are handy too.

Went to purchase zucchini bread..the 3 loafs that were available, had a sale by date of 4/10/22- that's tomorrow..asked one of the guys in the bakery area, if they had any fresh zucchini bread in the back, he said they put out fresh bread this morning..he lied like I couldn't read..that's when another guy says, oh we baked the muffins this morning..another lie, because when I got home, they were extremely hard. Poor Service..

If you have a hankering for something sweet (cookies, pastry, cupcakes, gelato, etc.) this Whole Foods location always serves as a wonderful choice. The seating area in the front of the store is a great place to breakaway from the busy day and have a snack, or even simply a relaxing sit. FYI:This location is also a great place to find unique and healthy live plants.

An eating experience. We love to eat at the Village Brasserie in Whole Foods regularly! What other grocery store has a full service restaurant inside it?! Their menu is always good and reasonably priced, but the coolest part is being able to eat from all other areas of the store. You can bring a bottle of wine to the counter and they'll cork it and send you home with the leftovers. Or you can go to the meat counter and buy a steak. They'll cook it and add sides for a nominal fee (like $8). You can bring any food item from anywhere in the store to the bar and they'll add it to your bill and serve it to you. Best part... there's no gratuity! You just pay the price of the groceries. It's a great spot to gather friends (particularly picky eaters because they can get whatever they want), have a drink, or people watch. It can be a quick meal or, as we like to do it, a leisurely dining experience.

Excellent Brasserie in Cahaba Heights/ Mt. B. I've been to brasseries in France and sitting down to the bar/counter in Whole Foods is truly a wonderful Amercian take on European cuisine. I have eaten here for lunch and for dinner, so I feel like I can talk about their range. I like to pick out a salad and then an entree (protein) to accompany a good wine. For instance, last week, I had an astounding raw kale salad with English walnuts, cucumber, heirloom tomato, and a piquant citrus dressing. I don't think that Southerners get enough kale because it's a cooler temperature green. I loved it--it was really unique and very reasonably priced ($6). The past choicel looked good to me, so I opted for a seafood pasta. Shrimp, mussels and linguini in a mild cream sauce. It was excellent. They have great choices for steak and other entrees at Village Braserie. I've have similiar dining experiences at Village Brasserie--don't confuse it with the Hot/Cold Bar (which is equally great). More folks need to come to Whole Foods just for the Brasserie--it is a marvelous choice in that area of town!! (and they don't ask for you to tip!!)
