I will be back very soon for some curry chicken. This past Sunday I wanted some oxtails.I checked Goggle maps and found Southern Caribbean. I also got the spicy beef and chicken patties. OMJESUS I will be back soon.

Never in my life have a ordered from a restaurant and almost start crying when I tasted the food. This was the most delicious eats I've have had in awhile. You can taste the love in the cooking. I ordered the Jerk pasta and almost started crying because I have never tasted something to close to my my world traveler mother's cooking. She died in 2015.
Even though I cannot handle spice well (can't finish a bag of Takis in one sitting for reference), this jerk pasta had me pushing through to get another bite until I would have to take a few minutes in between. It was THAT good.
My boyfriend got the chicken curry and the meat melted in our mouths. It was so soft and juicy. This cuisine is akin to what you'd expect from a major restaurant, but it seems to be a small family-run place.
Don't let the location or decor fool you, this place is a real gem of lovely food. I will be encouraging all my friends to try it.

I've ate here too many times to count. This was my first taste of Caribbean food. It opened up a whole new world for me. I found my self eating there everyday for a while. Very good food and friendly cook/owner.

Service was quick. The plates of curried goat and jerk chicken, each had rice n peas with steamed cabbage, both looked great with decent portions IMO and each were very pleasing to the palate. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Another Winner for Dinner! This was the real deal. I ordered Ecoveitched fish, Jamaican style with Onions and peppers, green beans and stream cabbage. This was a winner dinner. #TEAMSMILEY #PLAYTOWIN

The food wasn't as plentiful as I have got accustomed to getting at Jamaican restaurant across US but it definitely was filling and very flavourful. This place is a definite recommendation for me.

I ordered 3 dinners and paid cash after looking at my receipt I noticed a extra charge of .90 cents for non cash adjustment even though I paid cash. This the 3rd time I noticed this charge.

Its Birmingham, Alabama and they not use to good Jamaican cooked food so I guess they will settle for imitations(carbon copy). Enough said. I had to go Panda Express after.....😥
