I Googled to find a gluten free bakery in Birmingham AL and found Bunch Bakeshop. I was later than the time listed on the website and I am in Nebraska, but I wanted to have a gluten free red velvet cake for Todd’s birthday... and he is on tour with High Up this month and several people on the tour eat gluten free. I called and talked to Angel. She was so helpful and made the cake and took it to the venue for Todd. If I lived anywhere near Birmingham I would love to shop at Bunch Bakeshop!! Thanks Angel �!!
We stumbled across this bakery in our travels through Birmingham from Mississippi today and I must say, it would be worth the 2 1/2 hour drive for me to come, often! Thankfully, the owner let me in on the fact that she would ship to me! She also recommended a local Italian restaurant that used her products. We had lunch there and it was the best! Once we returned to our hotel, we made coffee and enjoyed THE best gluten free yummies I've had since being diagnosed with Celiac 8 years ago. Thank you, Carol, for making our time in Birmingham, AL so delicious. I can't wait to place an order, soon!
Happened on this bakery by accident today and just had my first gluten free Red Velvet cupcake! It was quite possibly the best cupcake I've ever eaten!! Magic! Thanks for the excellent service and recommendations you had for someone who's newly gluten free. I will be making the drive again!
A great stop for anyone gluten free! They even have bake at home meals and offer holiday meals which help avoid that “I’m sorry, but I can’t eat what you’ve prepared” convo at the holiday table!
I love the gluten free items. Tried the cinnamon donut and the loaf of bread. So good! Will be back for sure. The new owner, Angel, is very nice!
My son is allergic to eggs, wheat and milk. I so badly wanted him to have a cake he could eat for his 1st birthday. I found Bunch Bakeshop online and I am so happy I did. They are very nice and professional. She even decorated the cake with a cute little Mickey Mouse to go along with my theme. I will definitely use them again.
Needed a "cutting cake" for our daughter's wedding. They were able to do exactly what we wanted. Bride LOVED it, as did others...Thanks so much for making our day perfect!

The bread is scrumptious! The chicken salad had nice chunks of real chicken (we got the one with grapes and pecans). The "box lunch" is the better deal with drink, cookies, and chips. So much here to offer and it's great to have the menu wide open to us! Staff is sweet and knowledgeable. Got some pizza rolls to try later. We'll be back!
With just a day's notice after the holiday, Bunch Bakery did not delay or disappoint for my son's 21st birthday. He was rendered speechless as he savored every bite of the chocolate cake w peanut butter cream icing. Normally, he will quickly gobble down cake but he said this was so incredible he wanted to enjoy it as long as possible. Bunch Bakery took away the dismal limits of gluten-free/ lactose-free with everyone claiming YUMMY! So glad to learn she can ship to his dorm.
SO GOOD! A fully dedicated gluten free facility is such a blessing to those who need it and fortunately this place is also delicious!! The donuts are inexpensive and delicious and there are a plethora of other individual options and larger packages (rolls, cobblers, loaves of bread). The owner is also incredibly nice and helpful. Will be here EVERY time I am in Birmingham.
They have sandwich bread , cheesecake! Cookies etc for all people that doesn't eat gluten, is a delicious alternative when toi don't have the time to prepare your own gluten free pastries and bakery goodies. By the way they are soon about to change names.
The staff and owner are always so kind to my partner and I. He has celiacs disease and we always feel relieved that the food is so amazing as well as their service. My favorite is the chocolate glazed donuts and his is their peach cobbler.
The funky muffin is a great gluten-free bakery. It offers an incredible selection of baked goods and some gluten-free meals. They also cater gluten-free meals for the holidays.
