I am a regular here and have always loved the food. Outstanding cuisine at a reasonable price. I have always had really good service. Any problems, they're quick to correct! Staff have always been welcoming and helpful if I ever have any questions. This is one of my favorite places to eat!
Good food at moderate prices, with acceptable service. The menu is very large, and there is just about every Mexican food item you could want. Prices are moderate; expect to spend at least $10 a person. But the food is very good. The service can be a little slow, though everyone is friendly.
Love love love this restaurant! The only place in Birmingham that can truly satisfy my taste for authentic Mexican food. Love their steak tacos with cilantro, lime, and onion. The other places in this area are a few dollars cheaper, but the food there is way better. Margaritas are 1/2 off on monday. They have other specials, but don't advertise very well. Their salsa is the best in town . There's actual chunks of stuff , like they make it or something , not from a can,
My wife found them through Groupon before we took a road trip. We knew we'd be driving through around dinner on our way home, so decided to pick up the groupon. I've been to mexican restaurants similiar to Hacienda by home that are great, but Hacienda was better!

The food was good but for lunch our bill was 67.00. My husband didn't tell me until we left. 13 dollars for cheese dip to go. I personally will never go back. There was nothing special that warranted that price tag. RIDICULOUS.
This place has the best carne asada tacos I have ever had in Birmingham. I order them with corn tortillas and the extras on the side (cilantro, onions, habanero salsa). Be careful with the habanero salsa! Their other food is good, but I haven't had anything there other than the carne asada tacos
