This nice little quaint coffee parlor is located in Five Points South! They have a nice variety of items on the menu. I went very plain and had the hot chocolate! The inside is very nicely decorated. There's also an upstairs seating section. Prices are moderately priced.๐ค๐ค This is a nice little spot to go to get away, do some work on your computer or just people watch. ๐ If you happened to be on the south side and you want a latte โ๐ต or cappuccino and doesn't necessarily have to be from Starbucks๐, I do recommend you check them out!๐๐ฏ

Tucked away yet right in the center of 5 Points. I loved sitting in the window and watching everything go by. The shop is super cute and quaint. Nice and quiet too. It is a bit pricy, but the coffee choices are original. I got the Caffeinated Bee, and I would highly recommend it to any latte lovers out there.

I'm wondering why this place isn't rated higher. Fantastic ingredients, great bulk coffee, consistently tasty espresso shots (seriously, that can be hard to find), and delicious sandwiches. Their food tastes very homestyle because it is, and the recipes are pretty impressive. I'm honestly unsure of how their prices are so low, all things considered.

Good lavender latte, but probably could have added an extra shot of espresso. It tasted a bit weak. Iโd come back!

Feel like Iโve been missing out. I frequent a few coffee shops around town but they are all closed today. Found a new place to frequent! Super cool vibe, the employees were nice, do recommend.

My first visit and loved everything about it. It is like a little hidden gem.

Ok, so I loved the atmosphere of this coffee shop and was considering becoming a regular but the owner is very rude. Yesterday, he was yelling at a barista saying he had so much on his plate. The kind barista offered to help as much as she could to alleviate his workload. This seemed to be just a small glimpse of the abuse from this man. Another customer and I exchanged worried glances as we watched in horror.
I observed how he treats all of the customers and he is equally short and agitated, only treating people who are his friends with any kindness. His treatment of people reminds me a lot of the owner of Parkside in Avondale, and we all know what happened to it.
To the barista: get out of there girl. Enduring a work environment like that is neither healthy nor normal.
To the owner: please be kind. You reap what you sow.

My first visit to Filter, and it's great. Clean, cool atmosphere, and a cozy upstairs parlor decorated nicely. The prices are on par with Starbucks, and there are inexpensive (but not free) refills on coffee. The staff is kind and courteous. I had the Noggacino, a blend of Chai, espresso, and sweet egg nog, and it was sharp, warm, and sweet. I don't think any beverage that doesn't contain a narcotic of some kind is worth 6.00, but the atmosphere is nice, and that's included. Check it out. A must-visit when you're in 5 Points.
