Antalya Shawarma Restaurant

One of the best places I've eaten at in a very long time. We were welcomed by all the staff who were friendly throughout. The shop itself was clean, had a good atmosphere and the service was great. My friend and I opted for a mixed (chicken and lamb) tava grill for 2 which cost roughly £20 as it was a request altered from a selection on the menu. Everything on the tava was absolutely gorgeous. The chicken biryani was the highlight. It was spicy, tangy and everything in between, the flavours were complex and every bite was delightful. The chicken balti also had a great depth of flavour to it. Furthermore, the mixed shwarma and seekh kebabs were both meaty and flavoursome. There was also fries and tandoori naan that acompanied our tava which were also well made. Additionally, the side plate of 5* salad was nothing less than beautiful. And last but not least, the chutney they gave was so unique, the dynamic it brought to each component only improved it that much more. Each individual component of the tava served its role with amazing flavours that came together to form a symphony of Western + South Asian cuisine. The portion size was more than enough to fill us both (which is some feat) and possibly 1 more, so great value for money. A decent amount of ghee or oil was used to cook and infuse the flavours of all these dishes (understandably), but this was easy to avoid whilst tucking in. Honestly, this meal had us thinking about it for days afterwards, that's how good it was. Even my family asked where the food was from when I took leftovers back.
