Mostly visit here for the night life. The environment could go from good to ugly. General the food are good though but have had better else where. Pricy too. The staff could be nice and polite or complete jerk. Depends on your luck I guess. A very popular place with my African people. They play great music.

Beautiful place with very friendly staff working. Has traditional African artifacts on walls as decorations. Really enjoyed the meal I had. Great place to come to.

Great African food at a good price. The restaurant is clean with a morden twist. Helpful and friendly staff. I had sadza oxtail and greens. Will definitely visit them again. I highly recommend them if you are in Birmingham and want something different.

Wow!!! Went there for a friends birthday and it was more than I expected, I had a starter and a main of bbq ribs and I’ve got to admit that I loved it!! The staff were amazing by making sure the birthday went smoothly and the manager she was absolutely kind, will definitely return to try other things on the menu seeing as nice the first time round was. A friend of mine next to me had some sort of a stew but it smelt amazing 😉 best African restaurant I’ve been to. It looked and smelt very clean however toilets need fixing a bit but still usable. Absolutely amazing!!!!!!!

I don’t usually write reviews, but after the wonderful food and services I just had to. I went there to celebrate my Birthday and the staff just went above and beyond for me and my friends. The food was delicious and so full of flavour and portions very generous. I would totally recommend going there..... it made my birthday so special.

Look at that portion of chicken. For the money you get quite a substantial meal. Chicken could have been a bit tastier but the jollof was cooked very well. Staff were friendly and helpful. It can take a while for your main to come out so I suggest you get a starter. Decor I found to be very nice.

The restaurant was amazing. Service was fantastic! We arrived quite late due to difficulties with the sat nav and locating the place but everyone was very patient and accommodating of us. The food was amazing! There is a strong southern African theme which is unique and we loved. There is something on the menu for everyone. The only downside would be parking. Due to the restaurants central Birmingham location, parking is very expensive. So I would recommend getting public transport. There are car parks and on road parking available for an extortionate price however. Thanks Nakira for a fantastic experience!

Utterly fantastic evening after a not too good start. They were out of many items on the menu having completely overwhelmed the previous night. The fish on the menu, the tilapia and the snapper were the best I have eaten anywhere. Ruby, the manageress, went far out of her way to make sure that we had a wonderful evening to celebrate our 40th (ruby!) wedding anniversary. The poor lass hadn't even managed to get home after the previous night but she was calm, smiling and very attentive. A brilliant evening and a fantastic meal. Thank you so much.

Nakira is a stunning AfroFusion restaurant and bar, I found the place easily and I was very well looked after, perhaps because I was dining alone 😏😏 The food menu is deliciously adventurous and has a lot to offer. The staff was very nice and friendly. Definitely going back. Mind you it opens at 5 not 12 as advertised.
