I like this pub, it's a proper old-school boozer without airs or graces. In this age of themed pubs and corporate branding it's really good to walk into somewhere that really probably hasn't changed in decades. I wouldn't say this is the place to go for a meal, but there's crisps, nuts and sandwiches. As I say, old school. If you're walking along the canal through King's Heath pop in for a beer and a bag of peanuts!

Went here last night had a really good night bonfire and fireworks and a food stall and it was a brilliant atmosphere and the staff where nonstop well done and management have done a good job with the new decor

Lovely canal side establishment, very popular with the locals who enjoy the wonderful ambiance and lovely meals in the well-kept beer garden. Only a ghost would think the welcome a little cold, or the very wonderful staff a little abrupt.

everyone is made to feel welcome..the smell of weed comes from the canal when people stand on the bridge or in the woods..we cant help that or change that..everyone who comes here is made to feel so welcome.staff are so friendly and very welcoming...

I went to the horseshoe Inn last night to find it a little different from previous visit , people dancing and having a good time didn't seem to be any trouble there just good music played on jukebox and friendly atmosphere apologies from previous posts
