We came after a day of skiing. Came hungry and left satisfied and stuffed.
Food: huge portion and yummy! Had Chip and salsa, chicken tortilla soup, California burrito, and carnitas plate.
Service: prompt, attentive, and friendly.
Good value for the entire experience.
We've visited " El Jacalito" when we've come to Big Bear, food was great, service was quick and awesome. We ended up with Pozole since it was getting colder. Definitely a place to checkout.
Food is decent, but it was the only location to offer patio seating after sundown.
Ordered wet burrito, and S/O ordered Taquitos. The asada was okay. Meat was a bit chewy, but the rest of the burrito was okay. The Taquitos were a bit dry, but it was flavorful.
My favorite thing about the location was the patio seating. All other restaurants did not offer patio seating after sundown due to the cold weather. This location had heated lamps, and a nice patio area to sit and eat.
First impression was not great. The hostess was very rude and walked away from us as we were asking her about where we supposed to sit. After that our experience was great. Our server was very helpful and friendly and the food was phenomenal! Chicken fajitas for the win. We will definitely come here again, but hope to have a little friendlier greeting next time.
Had a lovely brunch on the patio with family! This place is casual and has excellent salsa. I definitely need to come back and try a margarita because they looked super delicious! Decent prices, clean restaurant and bathrooms, and friendly, fast service, plus the patio is dog friendly! I will definitely be back when the weather is good again 👍
