Duke's Grill - Thunder Bay Inn - Big Bay - Photo album

Man this place is really cool! Has a very nostalgic feel and it's cool history behind it. The food is 5/5, service is excellent, and the staff is very welcoming! This was a great getaway from modern society and I'll definitely be coming back!
A group of 6 friends drove up for a night at the inn. The rooms are large and nostalgic but very comfortable and clean. Mark and Sue were great hosts. We ate at the restaurant and the food, drinks and service was fabulous. I certainly would recommend this inn.
Went there 10/13/23 to have dinner with my Wife and Son and his Girlfriend. Nice atmosphere. Grilled Whitefish was great. Waitress Mariah was very pleasant. Highly recommended if your in the area.
We had my wife's family reunion (65+ members) here and camped nearby with Thunder Bay hosting the Gala! Service, atmosphere, and ambience were excellent across the board in this historic landmark! Great hiking and guides. Mark and Sue were great in making you feel at home.
My wife and I stayed here for our ten year anniversary and it was very nice! We really enjoyed talking with the staff at the hotel. They were very friendly, knowledgeable about the fascinating history of the inn, and helpful. We stayed in the Henry Ford Room which was very nice and spacious. It was
Excellent stay. Owner is very friendly and gave us some history and took us on a tour. Building is very interesting and has a lot of history before Henry Ford. Only thing that was upsetting was to find out the room we stayed in "Edison room" was not at all visited by him. Wish that was a little mor
We ate dinner here twice while in town. The whitefish dinner and the hamburger was outstanding! We eat at a lot of different places throughout our travels in Michigan so we know good food and this was it. What made it even better was the awesome waitress Lora, who was extremely friendly, talked abou
This is an historic inn and the rooms reflect the period. Service was excellent and the restaurant is also excellent. Be sure to get the chef’s daily special. The location is beautiful but pretty remote, so this is definitely a destination.
We were pleasantly surprised to learn the history of the Inn. You are instantly transported back in time to the 1940s and greeted with many artifacts and historic pictures of Mr Henry Ford who built the Inn. Previously in the 1910s it was a general store for patrons of the lumber industry. The inn
Usually a tasty and fairly priced meal. Splurged on desserts, 7 layer Chocolate Cake and a piece Neopolitin Cake. To our surprise both cakes basically the same. Always thought Neopolitin meant chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. Silly us. This time it meant chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate
I stopped in here for a late lunch and got the Cudighi Sandwich with Fries. It's been ten years since I had a Cudighi. It was good, really good. Was it the best one ever? I don't know, I don't remember, but I loved it. A bit more sauce would have been nice, but it was good anyway. The copious amount
Stopped in for dinner, wonderful! Very quaint & interesting place. Service and food were excellent!
This is such a charming place, chock full of history. The rooms are well appointed and the restaurant food is great.
Excellent service, food, atmosphere. We'll make sure that next time in the U P. We will go out of are way to visit Thunder Bay Inn and maybe even stay there at the hotel.
Visited for dinner since the tavern was closed, and what a treat! Delicious food, generous portions, and friendly staff.
Amazing place to visit. We thought it was a lot closer to marquette than it was in reality, and that ended up making Big Bay and the Thunder Bay Inn just that much more spectacular. The very small town makes staying there as a guest feel like your part of the community. The staff was very friendly,
The owners and his family “Daniel” that served us were personable and very engaging. Food was great, hospitality awesome and tour outstanding. Bless this family for taking on such an important piece of history and giving of themselves. We have made plans to return in February and July 2023 and it is
