Made reservations s a month on advance arrived got greeted by the valet service proceeded inside was greeted by the hostess and then seated exactly at reservation time
Sat down and had the best service by Dorsey from beginning to the end ... meal was excellent prime rib was cooked and carved to perfection ... I never get lobster tail gtf or the fear of it coming out over cooked ... complements to the chef
Tails were absolutely cooked to perfection thank you again lawrys you made my wife first experience the best
My favorite restaurant. Food and service excellent! I remember when you couldn't get in without a coat and tie. They should restore this dress code or at least ban shorts and t shirts!
I love lawry’s. I went there to celebrate a special milestone for my business, so Lawry’s was the best place for it. The food and service is top notch!
Had the pleasure of having a Joe, as a server. He was warm, friendly and attentive. Excellent service provided by this server. He gave us the history of Lawry's as far as the beginning until now how it's been open 80 years and only had women servers for years. Wonderful experience. Thank you.

This was my first time in about 20 years. It was a family tradition when I was growing up and we would go there for family birthdays and other special occasions. Time has passed by but not the atmosphere and the food. I took my friend for her first time and she loved it. Lawrys..you are the best.
Amazing steak and ribs! The place is renowned for its classic charm and exceptional food. The ambience of the restaurant is very elegant and is truly a place for fine dining. The steak served table-side is perfectly seasoned, juicy, tender, and carved to your preference. Adding sides like spinach, mashed potatoes, and corn makes your dinner as perfect as it can be. Would definitely come back when given the chance!
All I say is WOW! I am not one to give 5 stars very often. If only I could award 6 stars for a stellar experience at the Beverly Hills location! Friendly, thorough, and professional service. We passed on appetizers because the prime rib dinner comes with the spinning salad, mashed potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding. The prime rib cart carver delivered our Lawry Cut a perfect medium rare. And all that food, including a generous piece of prime rib at $59.00, is certainly value priced. Definitely exceeded our expectations, which happens so rarely. Highly recommended!
I got the prime rib dinner, Diamond cut with all the accoutrements (~$75) Always Solid! The ambience and service is always 5 stars! I always wish the prime rib was better seasoned, but the seasoned salt and pepper on the table help out in that respect.
Dine LA had a $69 dinner that also seemed great! The spinning salad, California cut prime rib, small lobster, and 2 sides! That seems VERY worthwhile if you don’t want a pound of meat only ☺️
One of my most favorite restaurants. I have been coming here for over 20 years to celebrate my birthday in December. The restaurant is all decorated in a Christmas theme. During the month of December, they have Christmas carolers coming around to each table to sign to you. The service is usually very good. Must order the Prime Rib dinner as it's so tender melts in your mouth. The spinning bowl salad is delicious too. Love watching the carvers slice your meat from the meat cart. Would recommend the cream spinach, creamed corn, and the sautéed mushrooms for the sides to share. Just writing this review makes me want to go back for a lawry's cut. Valet parking only. Highly recommended restaurant and a must for anyone visiting LA.
Top notch exceptional meal all around from beginning to end. We brought our own bottle of wine and they uncorked it for a fee. The desserts were creative and delicious. We celebrated a birthday and they’re still one of the few places I know that serve a small complimentary birthday cake with candle. Truly a special place for special occasions.
If you like old school steakhouses this place is for you. When we first drove up at 7:30 in the evening it looked like a bus led up there were so many people at the front entrance it was hard to get in. I heard there were a thousand people in the restaurant which was probably true. The only reason I'm giving service three stars is we had to wait quite a while to get our table after making reservations. But the service at the table was great. I ordered filet mignon, everyone else the table ordered the prime rib which showed up at the table and a huge cart that was carved from the rib rack. Everything was really tasty The atmosphere is old school and pretty grand I felt like it was in the '20s. We were there for 3 and 1/2 hours so that tells you how busy the place was. Valet parking for $10 that took a little while to get the car but overall great experience cheers.
This was my first time visiting this location, and it was well beyond my expectations. The food was excellent, and the service was very friendly. I have to recommend their famous prime rib dinner.
It’s exactly what you’d expect from a steakhouse. Big, solid steaks and lots of sides. They lug around this huge cart where they cut the slices of meat for you. I think overall the food was good, not something so exceptional compared to other steakhouses. Their “famous” spinning salad was also just mid. BUT—I really did love the ambience. Huge spacious feel and just the right amount of energy so it’s not too quiet or overwhelming. Beware of valet though, it took me almost 15 minutes to get my car while waiting.
It's nice to come to an old school place and hear classic jazz, people dressed modestly and where the food and service were excellent.
Delicious prime rib, definitely get the bigger cuts and enjoy. The duo of horseradish was amazing. The spinning salad bowl and the prime rib cart were really cool. Definitely worth checking out, as usual we closed the place down
Amazing experience the staff was incredible. The food was incredible. I hadn't been there in years and it was just as I remembered just as beautiful just as elegant and just as 5 star.
