Meatheads Meat Market Food Truck

Spoiled pork rib. I have purchased meat from the Bettendorf location at least a dozen times and have been burned two of those times. First was last year I had bought the frozen prime rib and after defrosting for a day in the refrigerator they turned out to be spoiled. I thought mistakes happen and won't worry about it and just threw them away. This time I went to purchase some t-bones and pork ribs. Got the t-bones from the counter and the ribs from the freezer. Defrosted the ribs for two days in the fridge and when opening the sealed package a strong overwhelming smell of sulfur come from the ribs. My wife walked in and gagged not knowing what the smell was at the time. Had to bag and throw away 19 dollar's of rib. I didn't get the receipt at the time of purchase because I said no I won't need it. My mistake. But that wouldn't change my comments. They need to do better at quality assurance and I need to do better at getting my receipt. I will be doing my shopping elsewhere as the percentage of failure is high at the small amount of times I have gone.

As always, Meatheads offers exceptional high-quality meats along with knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful butchers. If you're new to buying meats, they will explain the cuts and even ask how you plan to prepare the meat to provide a better selection. I feel as though they are known for their excellent brats (they have so many varieties that it can be hard to choose just one), but I have yet to feel dissatisfied with anything else I've gotten from them; i.e. chicken, steak, bacon, deviled egg potato salad (to die for, by the way), baked beans (also to die for lol). This will be the only place I will get meat from, from now on.

Love the brats. They don't explode on the grill like some I've had yet the skin is easy to eat. Heated them in beer first. Then on the grill and back in the beer after browning. .Also cooked an onion in bacon fat yum! Their beef jerky is fantastic. I'm just sorry I didn't get more brats while I was there. And that they don't open earlier because I'll be in that area Monday morning.

Best meat market you'll find in the Quad City area! New to the Quad City area from MSP and was looking for a local, high quality Meat Market. Was referred to Meatheads and I was extremely impressed. Everything about this place is top notch. Parking is super convenient, establishment is super nice and easy to find, staff is extremely knowledgeable and super helpful. Their variety of fresh meat is unlike any other place I have been to before. For me personally, the best part about this place is that they carry venison, elk and other Wild game.
