Greatest Christmas dinner, ever. I was told this was some of the most authentic, delicious Chinese food in New York, but from the look of the restaurant, I would have never guessed. It looks like most other Chinese restaurants on Long Island, but the food is next level.
We ordered everything family style so I felt like I got to try a little of every type of dish offered. My egg drop soup was very hot, just how I like it. The perfect starter on a cold day. Whether it was chicken, beef, or shrimp, The Orient nailed it. I get the hype now.

Delicious food! The Orient came recommended to me, so I finally got the chance to go and it didn't disappoint. The food was fantastic and the service was quick. We started out with the steamed pork dumplings. Then got the General Tso's chicken and chicken fried rice. General Tso's was delicious and cooked to perfection. The chicken was fresh and crispy. Will definitely be back!

They have a great selection of food, and everything we had was really excellent. There was too much to remember, but some of the highlights were the steamed pork buns, pork in some kind of puff pastry, sesame balls, steamed egg custard buns, and the deep fried calamari. Service was great and food was great. Highly recommend.

I came here with a friend for a simple celebration and we came for lunch. The lunch specials are great the vegetable rice is very good and there are a lot of great options very affordable nice place to just set and get a quick bite.
Just came back for lunch and I guess the chef had an off day. The wontons in the wonton soup were not fully cooked. They added a lot of salt to my food and too much soy sauce. The crispy noodles were good and the egg drop soup was fresh. The egg rolls here and vegetable rice are also very good.

Amazing Chinese food! I have been here. Few times and every time they did not disappoint. Everything on their menu is delicious and you cannot go wrong. I highly recommend trying their dim sum - some of the best I’ve had. Come hungry and leave happy!

The Orient is a great place for family. The customer service is wonderful and the food is delicious. It is not over cooked or excessively salty. The meat is tender and the vegetables have a nice snap to them. Its also a great lunch location for business and meeting lunches.

I only took a picture of the shrimp rice noodle but we also ordered sweet rice wrapped in lotus leaf and shrimp dumplings! The quality and cleanliness was exceptional. Highly recommend. The staff was very friendly :)

We came here recently and the service is very attentive, staff are friendly and accommodating. We ordered crab omelette, egg white w spinach & pork soup, salt & pepper shrimp, and ginger scallion chicken casserole. Usually we get the crispy fried garlic chicken, which is also so good. Large restaurant, plenty of seating. Dim sum here is also very good, that's a bit more crowded

We recently went here for a birthday celebration with the family and were not disappointed. Old school large portions of delicious Chinese food at reasonable prices. The only negative is that they have no dessert. I would have liked to order a family portion of mixed ice cream and pineapples. All and all, a great experience. I will definitely be back.

Everything was delicious! Some of the best Chinese food I've had in a while. I would definitely be going back there again. It was clean, and had good service. The general chow chicken was perfect with a good amount of spice. The broth for the wonton soup had a ton of flavor. If in the area, really nice place to stop and get some good Chinese!

Been here a few times. A must for anybody who loves great Chinese food. Soup Dumplings and Crystal shrimp are really good.
Chicken and broccoli are delicious.

Super good Asian/Chinese dishes. Very broad menu. Great fast staff. Very fast kitchen. Generous dishes. Tea is included! Other beverages available. Very large and noisy restaurant.

My family and I went there for a traditional Chinese dinner to celebrate my birthday. There were four of us. We ordered a whole ginger and scallion chicken, 2.50 lb. lobster, salt and pepper pork chops, baby bok choy and beef stew. The food was delicious, prepared well and plentiful for the 4 of us. The lobster was very meaty. The chicken was not overcooked and very juicy. The salt and pepper pork chops was crispy and not salty. The beef stew was flavorful. Baby bok choy was firm and tasty. This is the only Chinese restaurant I go to on Long Island. I highly recommend it.
