Review Popei's Clam Bar - Bethpage

We had a wonderful time recently when we visited Popei's Clam Bar, Bethpage NY. We treated a birthday girl for her special day, and she, too, enjoyed her meal very much. Our steaks were cooked to order, and seafood was fresh. Our appetizers were on point as well. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and provided plenty of libation. Can't wait to visit again.

Here’s another lobster place we can go to instead of Cape Cod. The parking area was crowded around dinner time but quieted down early. There’s a valet parking, so don’t worry. We had Gina as our waitress in the evening. We started with steamers, of course! Then we had a stuffed lobster called expecting-stuffed-lobster and broiled combination platter. We’ll come back for the steamers and stuffed lobster again. That homemade stuffing was out of this! We picked the stuffing, which includes crab meat, too. I think there are two types, with and without crabmeat. The broiled combo was a mix of seafood and fish. It was delicious, but can’t beat the stuffed lobster. They steamed the steamers with some seasoning, so it had some nice flavor, not just steamed. This is how they do it! The place was packed. It wasn’t a joke when they talked about how fresh the seafood was at this restaurant. Hardworking employees and excellent fresh seafood. Perfect! Keep the Chef!

This is a place you definitely must try. The seafood is fresh and reasonably priced. The waitstaff is excellent and pays attention to detail. The ambiance is okay. I had the 4lb lobster and clams.

We had a delicious dinner last night at Popei's Clam Bar. I had the broiled seafood dinner which came with a salad and my husband had stuffed rigatoni with a lobster tail & shrimp in alla vodka which also came with a salad. The prices were great. We loved Our server Diane. She was really nice. Can't wait to come back.

Service is impeccable! Food is amazing. Great prices. Friendly staff. Best oysters I’ve had! Traveled from the bronx to get them!!!

My experience at Popei’s in Bethpage was Awesome. The Chef even came out and greeted us. The food was cooked fresh and delicious. The warm bread they serve before our meal was hard to turn down. The drinks were perfect. I’d definitely recommend to whomever. I will be back do day soon. 👨🏻‍🍳🦞🦐🍝🍷🥃

My uncle suggested Popeis for a family gathering. If you love seafood, this is your place. Fabulous food, service, and our waiter was amazing. Serving 20+ people at a table is tough, and he did it with ease.

Abundant seafood variety, friendly service, and chill atmosphere! We had the thai calamari, bucket of muscles, shrimp scampi, fried clam strips and the broiled salmon.

Great seafood I just love their shellfish pots. The clams mussels littlenecks combo is my favorite. Great place to go.

The most amazing, freshest food! This is my go to spot for Seafood. Joe is always accommodating and really cares about his guests! They even provide complementary valet parking. It doesn’t get much easier than that! You pull up your car the valet takes it and you enjoy a phenomenal dinner. I was reading some other review by some toolbox that gave them one star because of the parking. I feel bad for that guy!!!
