We sat outside for brunch on a breezy, blue-sky day which was the highlight of the visit. The brunch is a good deal if you take advantage of the drinks. We all got the steak frites which was good. No one at our table got the French toast, but I did regret it when I saw it go by to another table.

Just when you thought you ate enough. The waiter comes by with more steak and fries. Unbelievable. Good friendly atmosphere. I not from around here, but all you can eat steak is great!

Went here on a Sunday, and there’s like a pre fixe menu with just one thing on it lol. So not much to say, so I’d like to come back another day when I can choose and eat fr. It was good!

It had been a while since last time my family and I came to Medium Rare Bethesda. It’s still great, just as I remember. The food was great and the service too. I do, however, suggest they consider adding small candles to the table that not only would enhance the atmosphere but they’d be helpful in the evening to read the menu as the lighting is already dimmed. A very good experience overall!

Great brunch!! The bottomless brunch is a great value at $29.95. The champagne came quickly without a big gap in between. There were 4 of us at brunch so we got a carafe of orange juice and the bottle for us to fill by ourselves. The French toast was a definite winner, not sure what kind of bread they use but it’s AMAZING. Not a huge sausage fan so i wish there was a bacon option but even the sausage was very good. The staff was friendly and upbeat I wish I remembered our severs name to give him his props as well. Only negative thing I would say is I wish the brunch menu was a little bigger but a small menu has allowed them to provide consistently amazing food. The outside seating also was very nice. Set a reservation and you’ll be sure to have a good time.

See previous post. Steak was delicious, the sauce was a tad bit too salty for me, but I'm really being critical. Great concept. One steak, choice of doneness and sides. Fantastic service! Atmosphere was only 4 stars for me as it tends to get loud, but that again is me really being super critical. If you love steak, you owe it a try!!

Best restaurant worth it and Loved their steak. The way the waiters ask for how you want your steak cooked is very fun :)). Their french fries are the best. Party of four we saved room for the chocolate cake, YOU won't regret it. I would go back on a special occasion for sure.

My overall take of the restaurant, is that it serves delicious food with quality service. The bread was tasty, the exterior was not over crispy, but very crumy. The salt that came on the side had a salted exterior. The main is the steak, since it is such a thin steak and thinly cut, don't expect to get a hot steak, it's going to be room temperature at best. It is seasoned with salt and pepper. My first steak was over cooked and the second one came out as asked. The salad was amazing and has a great sauce on it. The fries are my favorite style fries and they are to die for, this has to be my new favorite fry place, they are served salted. Dinner can be split by two people, since you do get two servings. As the restaurant got full the service started to slow down. I would say the restaurant has a dark rustic look. The main entrance can get a bit stuffy since they only give you 4 feet from door to the hostess table. If you have vision problems and can not see in low light, I highly recommend avoiding this place as they keep the place very dim and do not turn the lights up.

It lived up to the hype! I'm not a steak person and I can't wait to return! The food was good and the service was excellent. It was a great place to celebrate a family event. Tip: go to the bathroom and listen to what is played in there. We were amused. Highly recommend.

First time eating at this location in Bethesda. Enjoyed several meals at the Cleveland Park restaurant. Experience was very similar, enjoyable meal, well prepared, delicious food served by friendly attentive staff. It's simple - tell them how you like your steak prepared, sit back and enjoy. Decent enough wines, steak always cooked the way we like it - Medium rare. Fries are crispy and well seasoned, the salad fresh with tasty vinaigrette. Warm bread throughout with seconds of steak or fries should you desire. In neither location have we ever ordered dessert so can't speak to that portion of the menu. In a silly twist, I do enjoy the bazooka bubblegum that accompanied the check.

Brunch was price right... and taste good considering your locked into the one option once you choose your dish... you've got bottomless mimosas and screwdrivers as well they're a bit watered down but what do you expect... I wa ls there father's day and enjoyed myself in Bethesda...

Came in on Wednesday and was seated immediately. Staff was friendly and food came out quickly. Salad was very welled dressed. Steak was cooked perfectly and tender. Fries were crispy. Sauce was very good. For $28, it was a great meal. Small wine list but good selections. I will certainly be coming back next time I am in town.

A Friday Night business dinner here. It's basically a one Main Course Menu with choice of sides. The steak ( I believe it's a Flat iron steak—also known as a top blade steak, top blade filet Steak Cut) was recommended Medium Rare by our Server, I did, and my side choice was French Fries. The steak was delicious. For me personally it was a tad bit salty, but that could have been the sauce on it which I generally avoid over-doing either.) Great part was, after you finish the steak...they come back around with more steak and fries. Totally unexpected but a nice touch, as I've never been here. Dessert -- omg, the Sunday it HUGH! I went with the Blueberry Cheese Cake, equally great portion, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is a tad bit loud for my taste but I was there for the food, haha! Drinks for me were a simple beer, and a good selection available--sirty, I just like a simple beer, and can't remember what it was, lol. I will go back, the steak was really that good 👍

You go for one reason - steak. They offer one cut - flank steak with their own sauce. I thought the steak was good, but not great. The sauce is what makes the taste. They did offer second helpings, which I gladly took. House-made bread is really good, hot and crusty. Mesclun salad was on point, but a bit plain. Service was very good and attentive - almost too fast at some times. Large price of chocolate cake was really good and enough for 4 people. They added a sparkler for a birthday, or which was a nice touch. Overall a good place for flank steak if that’s what you are looking for.

I loved this restaurant! My husband took me for a date night, and we loved the blackberry bourbon smash drinks, as well as the food. One thing I was not expecting was that they brought us over a second serving of steak and fries without us having to ask - it was a great deal for the cost, and their gravy is absolutely delicious.

Good food….nice brunch spot with bottomless mimosas. It was just something about the food presentation that reminded me of ihop. The desserts had a nice presentation but the actual food reminded me of ihop a little bit. Even the plates…but other than that it’s a great place to go and the price is good too.

If you visit Bethesda in Maryland, the first thing to do is to have a meal at Medium Rare restaurant. This is my second visit to this restaurant. The taste of the food stay in your memory waiting for the next visit. They bring the food in two parts, after you finish the first dish they surrprise you with refill. The dish has the steak and fried potatoes. You need 1:15:00 min to enjoy finishing your meal. You can park on the road and pay $2 per hour.

Okay Medium Rare was delicious. I wanted to treat myself to a good meal and knew I wanted some good meat. Well I wasn’t disappointed. MR has a set menu: bread, salad, steak and fries. I was skeptical about how the sauce was gonna taste (I am from the South) but it was satisfactory. You get a second helping of steak and fried (hence my dessert to go). Dessert was sub-par: key lime pie. Not a true pie (it was a whipped consistency) and the cookie crunch pearls added nothing.
