I usually dine at their DC location-which is much smaller. I was impressed entering the restaurant- large, clean, modern. The food is just as good as their DC location. The staff-HORRIBLE. I dont know what the issue is with Ethiopian restaurants and their staff-slow and rude.

Had a wonderful experience here with a large group, including multiple children. The food was delicious, and kids are now fans of Ethiopian food. There were also options like spaghetti for those that don't like Ethiopian food.

The best! My wife and I went and dined all over DC/Bethesda and this was the experience and food that we measured all others against. We had an awesome server who was so nice and talkative, we had great food which came out quick, we had good atmosphere and nice music and everything was how a 5 star restaurant should be like. We got one of the sampler plates, served on the injera bread, with the doro wat, the lamb tibs, the raw beef, the cabbage and beans and the spinach. It was all so tasty and good. The server asked us how spicy we wanted it and we responded with "as you eat it". We prefer to eat foods of different cultures as they eat it. We don't like the dumbed down, bland, Americanized versions of foods.

We were wanting to have Ethiopian and it's nice to see they we didn't have to go far from Bethesda. The Doro Wot is awesome and so is the short rib tibs (3rd on the menu) which may have been one of the best Ethiopian dishes I've had.
Food takes a while to come so be prepared.

We split the Deluxe Vegan Platter which was great value for money. You really can't go wrong with that option. All the elements were flavorful and the meal is very filling and shareable between 2. I also had the Sambusa, but I wasn't a fan. It was just too flaky for me and I wasn't in love with the texture of the shell. Service was great.

Such a delicious place! We got carryout for a group of 6–everything was perfect, as ordered and still hot when we got home. The portions were incredible and the vegan options were so delicious. Family recommended we try there and we were certainly not disappointed. I recommend the vegan deluxe platter.

For the first time in this restaurant, very cozy. I have never tried Ethiopian cuisine, I can say that it is delicious, highly recommend everyone to try.

Delicious food. I come here so often they should have a loyalty program for people like me. Great atmosphere, but beware that on a busy night it can be loud and service can be slower to attend to you.

If you're craving some authentic Ethiopian food, look no further than CherCher!
I just moved to Bethesda from Houston and I honestly feel that I have high standards for Ethiopian food because of it. This place was great. My friends and I each started with the Lentil Sambosa. It was my first time trying them and I honestly wasn't the hugest fan. Maybe if it was paired with a different sauce, but it also might just be because I'm not familiar with Sambosas.
Usually when I go to Ethiopian, I go straight for the vegetable platter (even though I'm not vegetarian). However, I was really craving salmon and so I tried the Tibs-- definitely the right move! The dish was delicious and paired great with the salad mixture. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be spicy but my only complaint is that I wish it was a little spicy! Would definitely order again.
We also all paired our meal with a bottle of Tej, a honey wine that is similar to mead. Majestic.
Definitely check this place out!

Great food and service at this location, found a vegetarian option which is always a plus, the waitress was very friendly and recommended dishes and suggested how we should eat and mix the food. I just wish the outside seating was better. The patio tables/seating wasn’t very clean.
