Yesterday, I came into Bacchus for lunch, and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The restaurant's interior was exceptionally aesthetically pleasing, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. It was impeccably clean, which added to the overall positive impression. The servers were not only attentive but also very friendly, making me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in. They ensured that I received my food quickly and efficiently. I ordered an order of falafel to go, and it exceeded my expectations. The falafel was a delightful treat. It had a perfect crunch on the outside, and the flavors were incredibly satisfying. I'm eager to return and explore more of their menu.

Absolutely delightful experience from the friendly staff, outdoor seating, and delicious food. For appetizers, get the beef kibbeh (ground beef stuffed into a pastry), lamb sausage, and their cheese fried in phyllo dough. Those are all incredible! For the main, we got the lamb and chicken kabob entree. The meat is so tender and juicy! And the seasoning on the lamb was phenomenal. We had to end the meal with knafeh (spelled differently everywhere you go). But it’s essentially cheese and deep fried noodles with a sweet sauce on top. It’s always incredible and this was no exception. This restaurant is also one of the few that are actually open late, which makes this a perfect spot to hang out in a quiet setting and enjoy the outdoors while dining on delicious food. The only negative is their pita bread was almost stale and way too hard.

The food was DELICIOUS! Truly fantastic food with compliments to the kitchen. However, the service did not match. The service wasn’t bad, either, it was just very minimal and the servers all seemed exhausted and unhappy to be there. I don’t know if this is true it just felt like a burden to be there.

My friend and I enjoyed Saturday dinner, followed by an exuberant belly dancer. My friend found her mango nectar to be pure mango and her grilled salmon to be superb with rice sprinkled with grated almonds. I thoroughly enjoyed the stuffed zucchini (stuffed with flavored rice) and my chunks of lamb atop a bed of rice.

Just returned to Bacchus for the first time since the pandemic. We should have returned sooner. The food is astoundingly good and service is kind. This is a local restaurant worth treasuring and enjoying repeatedly. The complimentary warm pita bread with za’atar dip was a great beginning to our meal. The savory and piquant za’atar perfectly complemented the pillowy pita. We selected apps from the mezze menu: aged goat cheese and sautéed squid. The lively saltiness of the goat cheese contrasted beautifully with the lemony squid. You can dine brilliantly at Bacchus by sticking to the extensive mezze menu, but don’t ignore the big plates. We loved the lamb pieces splashed with butter and served atop flatbread and yogurt. (There is a similar lamb with rice dish that we remember as excellent and recommend highly.) The star of our evening was the veal chop, blanketed with sautéed mushrooms, grilled perfectly to a mouthwatering sear, and juicy on the interior. Our meal was enhanced by our beverages: a nicely executed Manhattan, delicious minted iced tea (a must for me: deeply flavorful and refreshing) and glasses of robust Lebanese wine. Service was slow (it was a quiet weeknight) but very kind. Our server charmingly surprised us with a complimentary dessert of cardamom pudding. The terrace has been enclosed (side windows remain open in good weather) as a concession to pandemic era needs; fortunately, the stone fountain has been retained.

Came here for the second time and it did not disappoint. The food was wonderful, the drinks well made and since it was a Friday, we got to see the belly dancing show, which happens on Fridays and Saturdays. It can be pricey but the quality of the food helps negate that and the environment is warm and comfortable. Definitely recommend it

I recently dined at Bacchus Of Lebanon, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a delightful evening. The menu offered a tantalizing array of Lebanese cuisine, and every dish we tried was an absolute delight. The appetizers were a highlight, with the falafel being a personal favorite – crispy on the outside and perfectly seasoned on the inside. The main course options were equally impressive, with a variety of grilled meats. The lamb kebabs were a standout, tender and bursting with flavor. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to provide recommendations. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Bethesda!

Arrived on Wednesday for dinner. Great atmosphere in the patio area. Service was attentive and helpful. I ordered an eggplant cold dish and lamb/chicken combination main course. The portions were smaller than expected for the price. The seasoning and cook was decent, but wasn’t unique or presented well.
