Bethany Boathouse

Went for the live entertainment of a band we love to follow. There was about a 20 minute wait on a Saturday afternoon, which wouldn’t have been a big deal but the hostesses were rude about doing their job. The first one we talked to said we had to talk to the other girl with a scowl on her face and the one who told us about the wait was just rude. The server was awesome which is the only reason they are getting 3 stars. The crab dip wasn’t mixed well and literally had huge chunks of sour cream sticking out of the dip. Couldn’t even eat half of it. Total waste of money. The band was great but after their set, they had to move tables around to make a dance floor because it was just getting too crowded. Would have been nice for everything to be arranged before they started. Highly recommend the crushes

This is a good casual spot to eat while listening to music. The ambiance is fun. The food is as expected. The selection is more geared towards casual eating. We had steamed shrimps (average taste), crab cakes (solid choice), and waffle fries. If you’re looking for fresh seafood with snow crabs etc, this may not be the place…but if you’re looking for a casual fun spot to grab a bite, then boathouse is the place.

We chose this place because it is within walking distance of the hotel we are staying at. What a lucky find! The food and staff were first rate. There was a group playing music. They played some good stuff and they didn't keep us from being able to hear ourselves talk. Overall, an enjoyable experience.
