Review The Globe - Berlin

Extremely busy night but the service was really slow. We stood in line at the bar to order drinks and food for over 25 minutes. Ordered the nachos. But by the time they were delivered, they were cold. Then we still had to wait for utensils and side plates. Thankfully we paid at the bar before we ate so we didn’t have to wait for a check on this packed evening. A lot of room for improvement.

Incredible Nachos along with amazing drinks back in the Tiki bar section. Be prepared for the largest nacho entree you've ever paid for!

The food and service was great! We went on a Sunday when most other places were already closed for the day. It was only us and one other family inside, and service was nice and quick! Our food came out lightning fast (nachos, wings, pulled pork sandwiches) and was SUPER good! We definitely plan on returning when they have some live music! A must-visit if you are in Berlin!

While in Berlin today, I stopped in to grab a take out lunch from the Globe. The service was fast and friendly, and I desperately wanted to stay for a drink cuz they had some that looked amazing! My food was prepared quickly, and the cute guy working made sure to hook me up with some sauces. The pulled pork sandwich was awesome (especially with the Carolina sauce), and I am always nuts over homemade chips! These did not disappoint. Sorry my picture is of a half eaten sandwich; I couldn't wait!

The Glove Theater is such a great bar with a historic vibe, great beer and cocktails, and friendly staff.

The food, portions, and cost were better than average, but the service separately managed to upset both my girlfriend and i. I suspect we suffered from not being familiar. We've had better experiences in this town. The back of the house did laps around the front.

"America's Coolest Small Town" now has the coolest bar/restaurant on the eastern shore - possibly the state. The revitalized town of Berlin continues to be a hidden gem of Ocean City Maryland but the little town will not be able to hide long with such a great venue. The old movie theater has been beautifully converted into what reminded me of a refined 9:30 club. The main floor welcomes you with a large bar which serves local beers from Burley Oak Brewery. I tried the pink High heat/Hibiscus Ale which was created by the brewer to support breast cancer awareness and is delicious! If beer is not your drink of choice they have some fantastic signature drinks such as Pot Still Apple Bourbon, Cucumber Martini and the BBQ margarita. Speaking of BBQ, there is an open kitchen that serves some of the most delicious BBQ that I have ever tasted. My wife and I were so impressed with the food and the service that we returned the next day for brunch. She had the gravy and biscuits and I had the chipped beef which were also awesome! The stage is occupied by live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night which includes both national and local musicians/comedians. The upstairs has it's own bar so you do not have to go up and down steps and if the band that is playing is not your cup of tea, you can escape outside to the enclosed tiki bar area. In a post-covid world this venue will be packed but for now they keep the crowd to a minimum, spread everyone out, and are constantly wiping down surfaces so don't be concerned about visiting now. The bar is right next to The Atlantic Hotel in Berlin which is where Runaway Bride was filmed and all of the shops in town are unique and charming. If you live anywhere on the Eastern shore or are visiting Ocean City, The Globe and Berlin MD is a must stop destination.

Popped inside for a drink on a rainy day. Can’t ask for more from a local watering hole.

This place is amazing!!! Best food I've had in a long time. Everything about our experience was top notch, including our waiter Rodney. Thanks for a great evening!!! We will definitely be back along with letting all our friends know about the gem in Berlin.

Excellent food, service, and venue. There is art on the walls, plenty of craft brews on tap, and murder mystery dinners, live music, and movie nights. Food was all fresh and delicious. Everyone I was eating with loved their meal despite having a wife range of paletes. Can’t wait to return.

Fantastic meal for four of us. Crab dip was superb. Salads fresh, crisp and generous. Lump crabmeat in every dish was of superior quality. Also fun to watch old movies while we ate! Worth a drive to Berlin.

We run away from home twice a year, The Globe is a great escape place + the food and drink at this oasis is great, the menu is varied and the local bands are very good. The staff are exceptional......Try it....You will like it...

The Globe is a fantastic place for food, friends and fun! Always have a great meal in a great atmosphere ❤️ Oh and brunch on Sunday is so delicious 😋

The entertainment was great and I have a gluten allergy and the chef adjusted a dish for me and it was very good, I go here several times a year.

I’ve been to The Globe a handful of times & it never disappoints. Yesterday, my mom & I stopped for lunch. We both had the grilled cheese of the day (havarti with tomatoes & sprouts), plus a mug of the cream of crab. The food was delicious & was ready quickly!

Went right at change of menu, so didn't get the whole menu to choose from. But food was great, staff was friendly, and overall a pretty good experience. Will definitely visit again!

Wonderful restaurant! We have been twice and have really enjoyed it! The food is delicious as well as reasonable!! The Apple Bread Pudding was fantastic!! Great staff, great food, great ambience, great entertainment!! 5 star

Seafood burrito didn't seem to have seafood in it.. 2 bowls of crab soup must have had a claws worth of meat between the 2 of them. Pretty bummed out I paid this much for this

We were in Berlin, MD yesterday and stumbled upon The Globe restaurant. This is an old movie theater that has been converted into a restaurant but kept a lot of the charm of the old theater. I had probably the best wedge salad I've ever had and also a cheese steak that was excellent. I'd highly recommend The Globe if you're ever in Berlin. Oh, and don't forget the cornbread with the Grand Marnier butter. I don't think you really need the cornbread, just eat the butter.

Enjoyed the place a lot..friendly people great food ..nice atmosphere, great live music,if you get a chance give them a try!!

I love the Globe. Great service and food. I always enjoy a meal at The Globe when I stay in Berlin. Did brunch this time. The cheesesteak omelette was great!

My favorite thing about the globe is Sunday brunch. Can't go wrong with a good breakfast and $2 drinks! Service is always friendly and the food comes out super fast. I love the 2 2 2 with a bloody mary. Perfect way to start the morning.

Quaint town restaurant.......had a turkey Reuben that was delicious and hubby got crab cakes which we good n tasty (small in size). Smith island red velvet cake was amazing for dessert!
