Good Food in an Unpretentious Japanese Place
Our group actually wanted to go to Kiraku which is almost just next door. There was a long line so we thought we'll pop down to the Japanese place next to it which is Norinoko. It was quite full too and we had to wait for one of the tables to leave. But
TL;DR: Mediocre Japanese food cooked via microwave sourced from restaurant-supply tubs of condensed "food".
Been wanting to try this place for while because from the outside it looked adorable. Plus it's supposed to be homemade cooking. However, due to inconvenient business hours, never managed it
This is one of the best authentic Japanese restaurant in the bay. It is simple, tasty and the ambience is cozy and friendly. Food is great quality and the services great.
Wonderful and authentic Japanese cuisine. The staff is attentive and the decor makes you feel like you've left the States. Their chawan mushi is out of this world.
The best Japanese cuisine in the east bay. There is not another place quite like Norikonoko. Very special.
Perfect ramen and gyoza. Unique atmosphere. Very small and cosy place. Definitely worth visiting more than once :)
Best mom and pop Japanese restaurant in Berkeley and perhaps the east bay
Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful waiter, okay food
