Very busy restaurant in Berkeley, which I was not expecting much from but I am pleasantly surprised with how great the restaurant is. Service is excellent and the staff is friendly. There was a wide variety of options to choose from like a fried chicken sandwich, pizza, mussels, to a beet salad.
I ordered the brussel sprouts, meatballs (not pictured), mussels, and pesto gnocchi. Overall the meal was good but I was not wow’d by the food. I will say the gnocchi was very tasty and the pesto was flavorful so I would rate that a 5/5. Otherwise my rating is as follows:
- food 3/5
- atmosphere 5/5
- service 5/5
- menu options 5/5

The pizza was good. But the lamb and almond cake were amazing!

Went here for a celebration and I liked it so much, I came back the next day for a dessert that turned into 2nd lunch. Initially I had the Camerino with pork sausage ragu and I couldn't put the fork down. For dessert I had the affogato - the espresso is bold, and the gelato is rich, and both extremes created a wonderful dessert. I also got the cookies, and while a bit crunchy and a bit salty, were devoured nonetheless and despite not being my ideal cookie, was one of the best I've had in recent memory. I visited the following day just for dessert. However, I regretted not ordering the gnocchi. It was melt in your mouth delicious. I had a few gripes: there aren't really any appetizers, wasn't offered any complementary bread, and the portion sizes are small, which stings even more considering the former two points. Another nit-pick is the wait staff seemed forgetful which I noticed in both visits - the first evening I could understand as it was a busy evening, but a bit after opening too? That didn't detract from the experience to me, but if you are picky about service, I'd call it okay: they are plenty friendly, but we did have to ask for things multiple times on both visits. But no complaints on quality of food and I will be visiting again.

Delicious food and attentive service. We ordered the shishito peppers, cameroni, and mushroom pizza to share. Would recommend all three dishes to try (large portions).
Though we were stuffed, we also ordered the flourless chocolate cake. This dessert was light, fluffy, and not too sweet.

Amaaaaazing! Such a special neighborhood gem. We got and love the PEI mussels. Perfect amount of kick and couldn't get enough of that white wine butter sauce. The Margherita pizza and roasted beet salad also are must-gets. The salad has this yummy pistachio praline topping. I could eat that alone as a snack.
Service was warm and helpful, especially with the recommendations. I can't wait to be back and definitely want to try their brunch offerings as well!

It's ok for the price, which I understand is just Bay Area prices. The food was really good actually and the service was great.
I really enjoyed the pizza I had, but the Shishido peppers were a real winner. I didn't have the oysters but someone at my table did and they didn't get ill, so that's a win!
All in all a good place.
